I'm still trying to find the catch but after 2 books one CD a movie and a copy of Quicken all for free I'm beginning to believe it. I get 50 points each day I log on and 10 points for bidding on auctions up to 10 a day. (used to be 100 and 25 but changed October 2000) They took the qool-catcher off line.
It takes me just a minute a day to log on and get my points, I only get email when I bid on an item, and there are really neat things to bid on, $100, movie tickets, books, CD's, games, software, digital camera.
I like getting myself things that I have wanted but wouldn't buy for
myself like a new artist I'm not familiar with that I might enjoy or
a movie I wanted to see but missed in the theater.
There is also an on-line help that has been able to answer every question I have. This and MyPoints are the systems that have given me the most rewards.
They say there is no such thing as a free lunch but I have yet to find
the catch in Qool.com and with a $40 Dean & DeLuca gift certificate I can sure get lunch!
Update June 2001. I'm still using Qool and have gotten a VCR, a software game, a magazine subscription and another book since I wrote this review. If you decide to sign up please consider saying you were refered by starstraf.
Helpful hint: How many coins something goes for goes up all the time, so saving up for a big item can be frustrating.
