(Updated on 4.17.07)
So, it's 5 in the morning and I'm still up, I have an exam in about four hours, and yet here I am, updating my biography...
My name is Brittany, and I'm a 20 year old college student (pursuing a degree in Elementary Education) who lives in Nevada. As you can probably tell, I'm a huge music fan. My favorite musicians are currently Jamie Cullum, John Mayer, Josh Groban and Coldplay, but I have a pretty diverse taste in music (as you can tell from my Last.Fm account). I've recently gotten into listening to a lot of indie rock (and I'm still debating if that can actually be classified as a genre of music), though I'm always open to hearing new music if you ever have a recommendation for me. I wonˇ¦t lie and say I listen to all kinds of music, because honestly, I loathe a lot of rap and heavy metal; however, I do appreciate all forms of music.
Besides being a music fanatic, I'm just a pretty fun person. Like most people my age, I love spending time with my friends. I'm not the kid that has fun by smoking pot or getting drunk on the weekend; my idea of a good time is going out to sushi on a Friday night, going to the movies or staying up all night at the 24 hour Starbucks, hosting a huge movie marathon at my house, or playing a bunch of board/trivia games with twelve or thirteen friends. I just love to laugh, and basically enjoy life.
I'm also probably one of the dorkiest people you'll ever have the pleasure of meeting, and I'm proud of it. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan (my friends literally think of me as a walking HP encyclopedia), and I'll admit to writing Harry Potter fan fiction on the side (as embarrassing as it may be). I laugh at some of the corniest jokes, I'm a total sap, and I really wish that JD from Scrubs was a real person, 'cause I'd totally be his best friend. I'm not afraid of standing out in a crowd, or standing up for what I believe in, for that matter, no matter how many people agree or disagree with me. Still, I'm a pretty agreeable person; I generally get along with/like every one I meet, unless they give me a real reason not to.
Writing has always been one of my passions, and I've been writing for Epinions since I was 15 (geeze!). I mostly stick to music reviews, since music is what I'm most passionate about, though I've been known to write video game and movie reviews from time to time. I'm probably not the most consistent writer on the site, but it gets hard balancing college, working, and having a social life and so I might go on an occasional hiatus from the site, but don't worry- I'll always return :)
I'd also like to say that I'm very thankful to have the Top Reviewer in Music hat; receiving the title was totally unexpected, and such a great surprise!
My wish list acts as my to-be-reviewed list. I generally give myself a week from the date added to write the review, and they're usually posted in the order I added them to my wish list.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by my page. Be sure to read a review or two (or four, or five), and feel free to add me to your Web of Trust. If you ever have any questions, or just want to drop me a line, don't hesitate to e-mail me (or contact me via Myspace or Last.Fm if you're lucky enough to be friends with me on those sites ;])
Best Of '07(my personal favorites of 2007!)
