About artemis8
|
I live in Kansas City, MO with my husband, four year old son, 3 cats, a turtle, a bearded dragon, and occasional caught toads.
I used to want to be a vet, but I couldn't stomach the idea of telling people their animals needed to be put to sleep. Instead I bounced around between majors and got an (almost worthless) bachelor's degree in psychology. And later earned an associate's degree in computer science.
I am now working as a tech support rep for a software company in Overland Park, KS where I talk with people on the phone, answer emails, log onto people computers via gotomypc and do some development using C# as well. I like the people I work with and most of the people I deal with as part of my job.
I also work on maintaining my house and being a mommy. I am a foster parent, as well as a volunteer at my church's food pantry almost every Saturday.
You'll find most of my reviews in books, because I love children's books. I do read more books than I review, but I find children's books the easiest to review.
I lived in Los Angeles until I was 21 (with one year hidden in there living in San Francisco for school) and miss the ocean, but not the traffic or the smog or the higher crime rates or the expensive living costs. Gotta admit I didn't mind never having any snow, but sometimes you just have to make sacrifices.
That's a little bit about me. Hope you find my reviews helpful and leave me comments about anything.
Here is a map of all the states I have visited. Someday I hope to visit them all. I love to travel!
