Pros: Great for families and small children especially, although teens are still interested Cons: I wish it were closer to us so we could go more often
Each year for the past 10 years we have been taking our kids to Idlewild Park for a day of fun. I can remember as a kid going there to Storybook Forest (almost 40 years ago) and having as much fun then as I do now. Before I start telling you all of ...

Pros: Affordable, several family oriented themeparks in one, even the food's good! Cons: That pool in the Soak Zone could be skimmed more often!
Well, I read in this morning's paper that Fred Rogers, a.k.a. Mr. Roger's of neighborhood fame, is retiring from PBS this week, so I figured it would be appropriate to share my 'trolley sighting' with you all. Yes, it's true, I actually saw the trolley...

This year, my husband asked me if we could drive up to Pittsburgh for a Pirates game for his birthday. Sure, I'm a masochist, rooting for a team who hasn't had a winning season since the 1970's. But, we wanted to make a weekend of it and spent the day ...

Pros: family fun, most rides suitable for all ages Cons: wouldn't be fun in the rain
We decided to include Idlewild Park in our list of places to visit during our vacation this year, as it seemed it would appeal to both our 2 year old and our 9 year old. Turns out, it did just that and I only wish we had more time to visit the park....
