Pros: Quiet, simple, multi-function, no mess, no filters! Cons: Somewhat pricey but you are getting two units in one.
I have been living in Minnesota for 20+ years and have never had a humidifier, much less a humidistat to see what the humidity was. 2 years ago I got a humidistat, if that is what they are called, and found out that my house was averaging 20% humidity! ...
Pros: Humidifies and cleans the air well, great 10 year warranty. Cons: Expensive, not as quiet as advertised, plastic parts break easily, requires Venta Additive.
After reading the reviews and seeing several advertisements, I decided to purchase the Venta LW14 for my bedroom. Venta products are German made and considering the 200.00 price tag, you might say they are the Mercedes of Humidifier/Air cleaners. ...
Pros: Very easy to clean fan due to unique and innovative design. Cons: Possibly dangerous cleaning fluid, uses electricity, amazingly expensive.
First you can humidify your living area for free by: 1) hanging a damp towel with part or the towel dipping into a basin of water. 2) hanging a damp towel with part or the towel dipping into a basin of water with a fan blowing on it 3) putting a pot ...
Pros: works well as a humidifier, keeps humidity level constant Cons: cheap construction, no water level meter
Like the other reviewers here I agree the Venta is very easy to clean, which is a plus. It does also seem much better at controlling the amount of humidity, which I guess makes sense since it does not heat up the water but just uses normal evaporation. ...
Pros: Effective at removing dust from air. Attractive design. 10 year warranty. Cons: Expensive to own, and maintain. Not quiet. Water Treatment Additive indications.
I decided to test this thing out for 30 days before reviewing it. I followed the manufacturer's directions closely and this is what I've found. I'll start with the negatives first. Maintenance: Just about everyday, you need to fill this up with ...
Pros: Simple Design Cons: Expensive and overly rated.
I read so many positive reviews about this product so I bought. I kept it running over night and I was very disappointed to find out the result. First of all it is not so quiet as they advertise, second of all humidity level did not improve at all. I have a digital thermometer which gives me dry temperature plus percentage in relative humidity. Before running the humidifier it said 35%, running constantly overnight still said 35%. When I opened it up water level barely decreased and didn't evaporate much. I am returning the product back to Bath Bed. At least I am glad the store is giving me the full refund back.
Pros: Extremely easy to use and clean. Cons: Expensive, loud, and misleading.
I noticed on many review sites the same exact positive review(s)on this product, which leads me to think that it is from a company rep.
I bought one from Bed Bath & Beyond to try it out. I ended up returning it within the week.
This product is advertised as being "extremely quiet", yet it's louder than my refrigerator, which makes it unacceptable to have in a bedroom. It's also advertised as needing no filters, yet when you add up the cost of the additional chemicals you need, it ends up costing more than buying filters.
Easiest to clean humidifier ever by mdaitzman ,Dec 30 '04
Pros: Quiet and easy to clean - great time saver Cons: expensive
We've had it for about 2 months - the same amount of time we have had our windchaser aat2003 humidifiers. The Venta is SO easy to clean and it humidifies the air without making water drop down the windows (like the windchaser does.)
We have had one problem, it is noisy, but a phone call to Venta has them shipping out a new part to fix it - they also offered me the option to return it where I bought it.
The scary part is the sludge we find in the bottom of the unit every 2 weeks when we drain it, wipe it down, and refill it with water and venta solution. That's what it pulled from the air!
i have seen only one review so far that even partially features negative feedback. this is exactly the type of thing ive needed and searched for over the last year. i have tried various "warm mist" and vaporizer types of humidifiers and they were not effective, unless they are supposed to get credit for moldy filters and wetting my carpet.
i collect very old wooden japanese masks and i live in california. it is extremely dry here and that started to hurt my collection.
it is true, this item was very pricey, but in my opinion, and for my needs, was well worth the money ten times over. this is the only item of its kind that i have tried that functions properly. it is very quiet, fast acting, low maintenance, and durable.
my masks have ceased warping and my office is safe to store them again.
i never knew that i had sinus problems, but after using the venta for a few weeks, i can tell a huge difference in my breathing and i no longer have chapped lips.
ideal for the home or a museum. collectors of any perishable wooden or textile items-this is a must!
The best humidifier/air purifier bar none by humidman ,Jul 03 '09
Pros: No white dust. Do not by a sonic humidifier because they all have white powder Cons: Not very attractive unless you like a box type. It makes no noise
I own a couple of the airwasher both the small lw14 and the largest lw44. They are worth every penny. I have only one problem and that was this year when a gear malfunctioned. I was able to email mailto:abdistrsupport@gmail.com to get a quick solution. It was a gear and costs less than $10. not bad to get it running. I also purchased a lw24 reconditioned unit that was 60% off the regular price and this unit is like brand new.
