Overall Synden's review is spot on concerning this vcr ,so I dont have much to add here. I have had mine since 1998 and its been a really great vcr and still continues to perfom as new today. Now days the vcr market is pretty dead so this may never really get seen : )

I think I paid 249.00 at Costco for mine, at the time I had seen them elsewhere in retail stores for about double that price so I jumped on it right away and have never regretted doing so. The image quality is probably the best Ive seen for a 6head ,and has so many options its almost nuts. There is how ever one huge mistake made bye Toshiba when designing this unit.... there is no S-Video out !

All you get is coax or RCA jacks and that is a major let down since the image and sound quality is very very good to begin with, its really a shame. If anyone is shopping for a vcr these days and sees one of these units they are definitely worth a look no S-Video or not.
