There really isn't much more to say about these. I just bought the Quintet 2 set in white (I'd prefer black, but for $199 Canadian, I'll take white :) and they are phenomenal. I'm using a high-current Yamaha amp with only 60w RMS per channel and they are astounding. I was previously using a 5 speaker Yamaha set that were pretty good but these do everything better. Amazing for the price. Since buying them I've watched The Lord of the Rings Two Towers and Return of the King and Spiderman 2 and the spatial capabilities of these are better than anything I've heard. I don't have the words to say how I feel about these. Anyone want to buy some slightly used Yamaha speakers?

Pros: Accurate, Well Balanced, with a Quality feel. Worth every penny.

After researching, and listening to high end, low end, and everything in between from Polk, Infinity, Bose, etc., I chose the Klipsch Quintet for my surrounds. I am still amazed this system only cost $400! What a great set of speakers! The highs are crisp without being tinny, the dialogue is clear and natural, and the bass is strong without booming. But, the best feature by far is the seamless balance between the speakers. Cars crash and jets scream overhead without jumping from speaker to speaker. For movie soundtracks the Quints rule!
I have a 10" subwoofer, also from Klipsch, that handles the bottom, and I don't think these would hold up without that deep bass, but I think it is wise to buy your sub separately to fit the size room you have. So, it was nice to find a surround set that didn't come pre-packaged with a cheezy sub.
It's a plus that these speakers look good, too. They have a nice weight and a quality feel that speaks of craftsmanship, rather than mass production.
I give these a 10 on the valuemeter!

my brother who works in audio retailing company introduced me to this great speakers. After several demos and weeks of constant reviews (via internet and other stores carrying klipsch)I finally decided to get one. I paired it with NAD T742 and it was a great combination. The installation was very easy (my brother took care of it)and immediately tested several DVDs and was so impressed, i never thought that a small speakers can kick that high without losing its clarity...

I bought these speakers for use with a computer gaming system and I've been very pleased with their sound--in fact, so pleased that I got rid of the stereo system in my office and now use these speakers for all of my audio. The drawback--if you consider it one--is that I end up using my PC for all of my audio rather than my DVD player and receiver. This isn't really a problem since all of my audio now comes from an iTunes server. Anyway, the other drawback to this system is that while you can have a since auxiliary input (from another computer, or a dvd player, etc.) that aux input only feeds the front L and R speakers plus subwoofer--not all 5. There's no option provided for 4 or 5 channel stereo. On my model (same as this one I believe, though over a year old), there's no hardware control over bass and treble (apart from subwoofer volume level).

Pros: clarity and volume
Cons: 1 speaker blew within a month.

I love the clear, crisp sound, but one speaker blew already on 100 Watt output from my Yamaha 1400 receiver (Note-be careful of cranking Paul McCartney's live 'America' DVD too loud during 'Live & Let Die'). My local retailer took good care of fixing it.

Pros: Can handle decent wattage.
Cons: not quite as good as a MTX 15' home system.

These speakers are capable of loud CLEAR highs, even while cranked up to 400 watts (200 on highs, and 200 on the base). The base speakers also responded well at full wattage.
