Pros: Plays standard CDs and CD-Rs encoded with MP3s or the ATRAC format - jog dial Cons: Price - ATRAC format is proprietary - Some poorly designed buttons - No AC adapter
Intro- I've never really been a big fan of the MP3 audio format. For one thing, I don't have a hugely varied list of artists that I listen to. I have a few favorites and I already own most of their better albums. Additionally, MP3 is a compressed ...
Pros: It works. Battery life. Cons: It's terribly inconvenient. Slow and loud....like a bad houseguest.
I was really surpised to see such favorable reviews of this MP3 CD player here on epinions. I bought it at Wal-Mart one day because I broke my CD player, and so I was out to buy a new one. I had made up my mind to buy an MP3-CD player if it were cheap ...
Pros: ATRAC3PLUS is incredible, Great sound!, long battery!, Lots of Songs 490 on 1 CD! Cons: No AC adaptor, slow burning (has to make an image of everything)
I was to go on a plane trip for 11 hours, when I decided im sick of bringing so many CD's for me! So I remembered that one of my friends had bought a sony MP3 Cd player. So i went to one of Sony's Outlets (where they sell refurbished material) and ...
Pros: Comparatively easy navigation, good MP3 playback and decoding Cons: Limited display, questionable physical integrity, excessive gaps between adjacent MP3s
30-DAY UPDATE: I was really starting to like the NE510. I was almost to the point where I could overlook the excessive gaps between MP3 tracks (as discussed below). I'd spent a fair amount of time listening while stationary, and gone walking with it on ...
I"ve always wanted a MP3 Player, but never found one that really caught my eye AND I was able to afford. I wanted an IPod, but it was just too cost prohibtive. The day after Christmas 03, I went out and decided to see what there was out there. I did some ...
Pros: Massive music storage on one disc, loaded with features, lightweight and slim. Cons: Terrible standard headphones for the price, annoying beeps while skipping tracks, no back-lit screen.
After getting over two years out of my last Sony portable CD player, I knew what brand to look for. I walked into Best Buy expecting to pay $50 for a Sony Walkman. After looking for only a few seconds, this one caught my eye. 490 songs on one disc! After ...
Pros: Amazing battery life; stores 350+ songs Cons: Sound quality is only okay; volume doesn't go very loud; bulky player.
I recently bought this Sony D-NE510 player to replace an older Panasonic SL-SX460 that I’ve had for a number of years, and I’ve not been disappointed by my purchase. This player has a slew of really awesome features that make it worthwhile, especially ...
Pros: -The jog dial makes it easy to navigate many files.
-It is durable. Cons: -The headphones it came with were awful.
The Sony D-NE510 is a great asset to anyone who has a lot of mp3's and wants to navigate them easily. The jog dial makes it easy to navigate many files. Another great feature is that when recording in Atrac3plus format you can also compress audio files from a CD. It comes with the SonicStage Simple Burner, which is in fact simple. It allows you to burn in audio CD, mp3 CD, and Atrac3plus formats. The D-NE510 can of course play all of these formats. Unlike what other reviews have said it is durable, i have dropped mine several times. The headphones it comes with are awful. I would recommend investing in some nice headphones. I have the Sennheiser PCX 250's with active noise cancellation. They produce an awesome sound, unlike anything i have ever heard, and the noise cancellation makes it so all you hear is your music.
Pros: 80 hours on 2 AA's, plays mp3 CDs Cons: Included software sometimes doesn't work properly
It's pretty easy to use, the little nob it comes with is a great feature, and the button layout is good. The screen is easy to read for the most part, and the system is easy to use. It's pretty durable, I've dropped it a couple of times, and it didn't even skip!
Purchased the D-NE510 cd/mp3/atrac3 player from BestBuy a month ago.
Player is great. Love the sound (could get a bit louder) through my Koss PortaPro headphones.
Battery life is phenomonal!
Did not try the Simple Burner software until this week-end. First, the CD was actually taped in place in the packaging ON THE DATA SIDE!!
Have done my best to clean it off, but there is still some residue that might be causing the CD TO BE UNREADABLE!
All of this led me to contact Sony Support to download the software: IT IS NOT AVAILABLE O/L and this so-called support just says to go back to the store.
What a WORTHLESS, waste of air to have that group alive. I get better support when I buy a bundle of cigars o/l.
Pros: Battery life, sound, 490 tracks to a disk, not complicated to use. Cons: The only con about this player is--you don't want to put it down.
This is an excellent player. The sound is great and the unit is easy to use. Sony has built another quality product. The software for the SonicStage burner installed without any problems--but follow Sony's advice and be sure to close any running programs before you do the install. I have burned several CD's and copied a couple of MP3 disks and all went smooth and fast. Just an awesome little player.
