Pros: Everything you need is included. Fast, quiet, so far, reliable! Cons: Older "USB" devices may only allow the drive to run at fullspeed not highspeed...
This product was extremely easy to setup and all the necessary hardware is included in the package. The drive is fast and quiet. I am actually surprised at how fast it is.
Tired with doing monthly backups to CDRW, I needed a way to safely store and access my data among multiple machines. Now I can access over 60 gb's of files with all my pc's!
This product looks cool too and with 120gb of storage space it's sure to last for some time. Comparable sizes cost alot more from other mfg's. This is a great product if you need extra storage and portability.
On a side note, when I first powered the drive on through my highspeed USB2 port, windows XP gave me a warning that the drive will not operate at highspeed. After disconnecting all my other USB devices the drive performed to spec. The drive still works to spec after plugging back in all the devices except my cheap webcam...
I used this ugly, bulky thing once and when I went to use it again to back up my computer a while later, it was out of commission -- wouldn't work, dead. Then the customer support from the company was virtually non-existent. Don't waste your money and time on this!
