Unbelievable picture in HD mode

by ljinreno , Jan 19 '04
Pros: Awesome picture clarity and brightness.
Cons: Cost and unknown life expectancy.
After dozens of trips to Best Buy, Good Guys, Circuit City, I decided to purchase this model. My other choices were the SONY 42" Plasma or new SONY LCD projection, but the picture quality of this model was superior to the Plasma and both superior and ...

Even better than expected

by hawke75 , Jan 26 '04
Pros: Picture quality, styling, convenience of connection.
Cons: learning mode on remote
After comparing several sets including both plasma and LCD at local stores, we decided on the 37" Sharp because of picture quality, styling, size and anticipated longevity. We bought the set from an online merchant in New York. Being in Boston we ...

sharpest clearest picture, bar none! and then some.

by thoughts4u , Nov 17 '03
Pros: Clarity and color with DVD, PC input, Xbox etc. Nice design and features.
Cons: Fuzzy analog signal, as with many HDTV displays it thrives on high-end signals. Thats it!!
Just recently jumped into the market for a highend flat panel display and gave them all the once over, DLP and plasmas as well as the sharp LCD. The Sharp caught my eye for clarity and lack of thickness it has a PC input via 15 pin VGA and it is stellar, ...

This panel ROCKS!!

by mainad , Feb 21 '04
Pros: Resolution and contrast Flat profile Lighted universal remote
Cons: Does not come with HD receiver
I'm one of those wives that had to be convinced to get a flat panel. This TV did the trick. We compared carefully and looked at many options, including plasma ED, plasma HD, LCD rear projection (which was warmly recommended to us), and even flat CRTs. ...

Splendid silver machine
by geffel ,Jan 22 '04
Pros: Beautiful picture, simple to use with impressive bonus features.
Cons: The manual is vague about a couple of things, especially 'training' the remote.
I decided to treat myself to this box after a couple of my friends went and laid out vast fortunes on plasma TVs. I was determined to find this LCD screen for much less than they paid for their plasmas. I found it via epinions.com for $3800.

The picture is clear and delightful; I love that it will automatically adjust brightness according to the ambient lighting conditions.

There is nothing I do not like about this TV, although my PAL VCR won't work with it, so tough, I'll just have to watch my old BBC tapes upstairs on my old multisystem TV, no biggie.

I think other people have covered this subject pretty well, so I will leave it there.

Worth the cost.
by johnvdg ,Jan 07 '04
Pros: Great picture in attractive design.
Cons: LCDs are still expensive compared to standard TVs.
We looked at plasma and LCD tvs, and picked the Sharp 37" HD LCD because of longer expected life span. We are extremely pleased with our choice. Picture is very good to fabulous, depending on input source (analog or HD), with good contrast ratio. Auto focuses as it sets up channels. Even normal non-HD shows look much better, and HD is amazing. Can view screen at relatively large angles without fading, so whole family can watch from anywhere in room. Comes with table stand and speakers. Easy to hook up. All tv programs are displayed in 16:9 wide screen format without distortion, and we don't have digital cable -- we can't figure out how they manage that trick. We love it.

Love my Aquos
by tripsplusone ,Mar 20 '04
Pros: picture, viewing angle, simplicity, projected life, easily adapted to laptop.
Cons: none that I can think of.
Bought it for Christmas. We use it for DVD's and computer only (Friday night family movie nights are the best!). Great color and crispness from all angles. Completely simple to use.

Integrated Aquos with a Yamaha receiver with self-programming/adjustability capability for complete home theater novices like me (#1400?), Klipsch quintets and Klipsch Reference 10" sub-woofer.

The whole set-up blew away our expectations...and we were expecting a lot. Actually better than the real theater (the popcorn's better too)

Wicked TV-Picture is Amazing
by shwagg01 ,Jan 31 '04
Pros: Flawless Picture DVI, 2xcomponent inputs lookds great (without the speakers attached)
Cons: None
I was going to buy a Panasonic Plasma but was to worried about my son leaving on the playstation and ruining the Plasma because of burn-in. No burn in with LCDs, no trails, the blacks are real nice, All i can say is the picture of the TV is perfect. Deals with regular TV signals as well as expected and DVD 480p and HDTV signals are flawless. Note, came from the factory with the backlight brightness a little, turn it down and the blacks will be perfect. Paid $4000 shipped through digitaletailer, ordered thursday, arrived at my door monday. Stock remote is sufficient but my Sony AV3000 remote works perfect (incredible product) Highly recommended
