Pros: Good picture quality

Following 3 problem with my laptop bugs me more often than not
1. The temperature at base of the laptop is so high that you can hardly keep it on your lap. if you keep it on bed even for about 5-10 minutes the system will shutdown due to excess heat. The cooling system is pathetic.

2. The battery life is pathetic, though it is documented as 3 hours but it never lasted more than 1 hour and 20 min.(max) , this complain was made within a month of purchase but SONY denied to replace them.

3. This laptop does not work properly while playing some of the graphics intensive games.

Parts with in the laptop are not tightly fixed and it makes noise when you shake it.

I bougth this laptop in October 2003. After 10 days I saw that is impossible work with it because in 10 minutes it's very hot and shut down.
Unfortunately SONY did not answer my ask about this problem.
The computer is slow too.

Pros: Graphic friendly
Cons: Overheats on boot up, fan runs at top speed continuously, company is unresponsive.

i bot the computer in April of 03 and have had continuous problems with overheating immediately on boot up. Finally crashed last week. Sony is less than worthless to communicate with, not the same company of earlier yrs. Do not buy this product.

Work with that note book is the best that you can. Speed and performance are incredible. I recomend a second battery for carry with the unit. All the programs that process grafics run very good and you can work them anywhere
