Pros: Nice prints, immediate gratification, relatively inexpensive Cons: No accurate usable profiles, LCD viewer a gimmick, no matte finish, only one size print
I have used the HiTi640PS for about 6 months now. I have previously owned the Olympus P400 dye-sublimation printer and now also own two Epson inkjet photo printers (1280 and 2200) I'm a pseudo-professional photographer and I wanted a printer to make ...

Pros: Excellent output quality; ability to print stickers and black and white;relatively quick and easy Cons: Limited flexibility (only 4x6 size);difficulty seeing result of outside editor

Great little printer....
by thetruthis2003 ,Aug 16 '05
Pros: Great pictures that don't fade and are waterproof. Cons: Handheld LCD is quite cheap but functional.
I went on the hunt for this printer after I watched a friend setup and use a compact HP photoprinter and realized there were many shortcomings to that printer. I like the Hi Touch, not too pretty, but has features that the HP doesn't. The pictures don't fade, the pictures are waterproof, there are no inkjet cartridges to dry out from non-use, there are no gunked up print heads to clean, the software installs easily and if you don't like the software, you can use any other free (picassa)or commercial (photoshop) software to interface to the printer AND you can rotate pictures from the handheld LCD screen. The handheld LCD is quite cheap and gets hot, but it works fine.
Dye sublimation technology,,, pretty neat.
