Pros: Great sound, compact size, nice aesthetics Cons: CD changing is slow
Recently, I decided that my circa-1990 stereo needed to be replaced. After all, that 3 disc changer that once was the flower of technology had started to make a grinding noise, the remote no longer worked, and the stereo was simply too bulky overall....

A solid buy at $100

Pros: Excellent sound for the money, nice cosmetics Cons: None for the price
I purchased this item about a month ago at J&R Music World for a hundred bucks. It is a factory refurbished unit. It looks brand new except for a very minor wear spot on a speaker cabinet that you have to go out of your way to notice. I have never bought a factory refurbished unit before, and I am completely satisfied with the condition of the unit.
The details of this unit have been well covered by the other reviews.
I needed a stereo that would fit on a very small table, and this piece has about as small a footprint as you will find for a shelf system.
I am not unfamiliar with high-end audio. I have owned Magnepan speakers and other various high-end gear and can tell you that this mini-system sounds very good indeed.
