Pros: BASS. Efficiency.
Cons: Vases and ashtrays have a tendency to be blown off tables.

I built 2 of these for a passive sub system in a home/party system. There is nothing on the market for a small room system (I also build PA rigs)that matches the quality of construction, efficiency, bass and just outright good looking speakers. I never ever thought I'd say "I've got too much bass" and these things do it. And they do it without being muddy. 5.7 cubic foot ported enclosure cabs (each, there's 2), with a Beringer ultra bass and a Mackie 1400i professional power amplifier, it's the best thing short of building an Imperial Bass Horn.

Pros: Good quality, low frequency range, dual-voice coil version, very efficient.
Cons: Looks ugly. Magnet looks small, but again who cares !

I have the dual 4-ohm voice coil version (15D4) of this subwoofer. I have it set up in a 2-ohm load and powered correctly (at ~500W RMS) boy does this thing bump.

Its great for people who love R&B and Hip-Hop (especially in a band-pass box), but if you like dance music or trance you may want to incorporate a couple of 12" drivers with a non band-pass box.

This thing will easily go sub-sonic and will be able to sustain such low frequencies for prolonged periods. The resulting resonance is incredible. Some will tell you that this is bad for your car, amp, woofer and your ears. WHO CARES ! As long as the seats inside your car and the 3 cars in front of you are shaking!

Cerwin Vega's 15 inch Bass Monster!!!If you have the power and the desire for bass that penetrates to the bone,this is the sub for you...All you need is the power and this sub will deliver..I currently own 6 of these subs which are powered with Vega Amps and i acheive a SPL level of 166.9 DBs.In the box i placed them in i got a frequency response range from as low as 13 htz to 689 htz.Really good deal for any bass lover.....
