Audiophase CDM450 Personal CD Player

Pros: inexpensive, matches my car color, plays MP3's
Cons: starts slowly, doesn't remember sound volume setting, makes weird chirps, MP3 player crashes

The plastic is cheap, but at least it's nice and light. The body is very slim. Unfortunately, it takes too long to start playing after I hit the play button. It makes weird chirping noises playing both Audio CD's and MP3 CD's. The user-interface is very minimal, but usable.

Pros: cheap
Cons: broke in less than six months

I would not buy ANY product from Audiophase. My CD player broke in less than six months. No matter what CD I put in (I've tried five), it just gives me an error message that there is no disc inserted. Apparently the drive that moves the laser head has stopped working. The real shocker was when I tried to get it repaired under warranty, only to find out the warranty was a pathetic 90 DAYS! This company does not stand behind their products.
