New Way to Play

by kalizam , Nov 07 '01
Pros: Innovative, Replay Value High
Cons: Different Controls, Strange Story, average sound, 2-D graphics
This game definitely has "Japanese" written all over it- there aren't many games like it, and there won't be many more. However, you should check this game out- it might surprise you.

STORY

The story for this game is really,...

Go! Go (away)! Troublemakers!

by 32_Footsteps Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Feb 27 '00
Pros: Great graphics, clean presentation
Cons: Bad controls, who has that quick a thumb?
The platformer is dead, long live 3-D. I heard that battle cry reverberate throughout gaming as Doom ushered in a whole gaggle of games interested in searching through a pseudo-three dimensional environment as opposed to the side-scrollers of old. I...

"I think I'm turning Japanese, I really think so!"

by rader6795 , Aug 29 '00
Pros: Very funny game, stage mechanics often vary from stage to stage, graded performance every stage, highly Japanese style
Cons: Ugly graphics with heavy pixelation and repeated use of the same background sprites, annoying sound, no real point, highly Japanese style
Warning: This opinion may contain obscure pop culture references. Viewer discretion, and maybe a dictionary, is advised.

Alright, everybody, the time has come to review a game that I feel is one of the most innovative and daring...

Calling all Treasure Fans

by SolidShoe , Oct 21 '00
Pros: A treasure fans dream come true
Cons: not so great to everyone else :(
No-one really appreciates this game, and thats just a shame. The company that made this masterpiece is non other than Treasure, the masterminds behind the legendary genesis masterpieces, Gunstar Heros, Alien Soldier, and Dynamite Heady. Ask any sega...

Fraught with Frustration

by Mylak2000 , Apr 13 '00
Pros: The final bosses, an occasional glimmer of quality.
Cons: The idiotic design of levels and graphics, sound, general confusion.
Mischief Makers is not a good game. It tries realy hard, but the effort gets it nowhere. From the funky 2D level design to the great multitude of annoying little pinpricks, and just the whole way everything is set up, it exhudeds a sort of...

"Mischievious" Gameplay

by Paneless , Mar 07 '00
Pros: Ethnic, Unusual
Cons: Horrid control, contrived
I was hoping that Mischief Makers would be a refreshing window to the past, to the hey-day of the 2d side-scrolling adventure game that represents a more innocent time in videogaming. Boy was I wrong!

The credentials behind this game are...

Could a game get any better?

by cindylu802 , Sep 18 '07
Pros: Fun exciting levels, cute background and characters
Cons: Levels sometimes are repetitive
Me and my brother used to walk to the video store with our ziploc bag of quarters, dimes, and nickels, to rent Nintendo 64 games and this is one we rented and when we started playing it we instantly loved it and begged our parents to buy it for us! ...

Why did I like it.

by Green_Avenger , Jul 31 '00
Pros: Its fun.
Cons: Its simple.
When I mention the game Mischief Makers I
always get a bad response, but hey I liked it.

PLOT MAKERS:
There is a little plot, but just enough to
get the game rolling.
For some reason you get the same cinematic

Mischief Makers

by Psyx , Oct 29 '00
Pros: Exellent graphics and sound
Cons: Techniques and special moves are pretty hard to master but the controls are easy to learn
This game is really cool because the graphics are brilliant and the game play is exellent. The sound and music is great and the controls are easy to master. The story behind the game is poor because the Prof. and Marina just travel to clancer for no...

Awesome bosses!
by prince_rukario ,Sep 09 '05
Pros: The three bosses are really cool, and the main character, Marina, is really hot.
Cons: It’s a 2D game! Oh, and the difficulty, definitely.
You MUST play this game. It I is pure gold. The three main bosses in it, Lunar, Merco and Tarus are really cool. Lunar's the wolf-looking fiend is the second coolest. He has the wolf like motorcycle that shoots missiles at you. Merco's probably the coolest. He's some hawk looking dude and his machine is a floating drilling machine with two arms. Tarus is some ape-looking guy with a tank that shoots boulders at you I think. But the very last boss (the one in Final Battle) is SO COOL! It some giant Robot that is made by the three bosses combining all their machines together. It can stomp on you, shoot lasers at you, and even shoot it fist at you! But sadly (or should I say gladly?), everyone has a weakness. He's pretty difficult to beat, though. Actually, I thought he was extremely hard on my first try on him. I couldn't even lay a finger on him. I mean he's, like, 50 times your size an 500,000 times your weight! But once you get the hang of it, he's pretty easy.
