Pros: Convenient Cons: fees, low interest, very slow.
Moving from Ft.Hood Texas, to Dexheim Germany, My husband and I changed out bank and we are both sorry we did.
There are good points and bad to banking at this institution. The good thing about it is convenience. Bank of America is at every...
Pros: ATMs all over the US Cons: you are not a real customer, you aren't seen as anything but an outsider.
After having Bank of America Military bank for almost 2 years now, I'm sad to report that I have decided to change my bank for the following reasons. 1.) My parents have regular bank of America we wanted to do fund transfers from account to account...it ...
Pros: A true understanding to life Military families ( and singles) live. Cons: ????????
As a military wife you learn a lot about how to get things done and who to trust to help you along the way. My husband and I got sick of having to change banks each time we were transfered so we decidied to try the Bank of America Military branch, ...
Pros: Great customer service from the military banking unit. 30 years of service. Cons: Apathy on the part of BOA. Your days as a military customer are numbered.
I first became a Ft Sam Bank customer as an ROTC candidate back in 1980 or so. I've lived through the mergers and acquisitions as NCNB National Bank, Nations Bank and finally Bank of America. Sadly, I don't think I'm much longer for the ...
Pros: Online services, customer service, easy to set up online Cons: none
This is probably the best bank I have banked at. Whenever we needed help with anything, it was done before the end of the week. With the liberty plus checking you get the free ATM withdrawals, up to five. We have a draft protection on our account that if it goes overdraft, they will check our saving and our credit card to find the funds. ATMs are also pretty much everywhere. The debit card can be used at most places as a debit because of their large network. Transactions are posted immediately on their online website. On their website you can also pay your bills online and even see external accounts.
The only bad part so far is that the military customer service has very limited hours. Also, the regular Bank of America system can only do limited things with your account.
I have only bad incident but it was fixed right away. I received my check cards but I never received pin numbers. Instead of making me wait to get another one in the mail, the person just set it up and let me change it over the phone. It took ten minutes instead 3-5 days.
Pros: Just the fact that the name is Bank of AMERICA! Cons: EVERYTHING THIS BANK OFFERS INCLUDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!
I've been with this military bank of america for about almost 5 years now and i must say this is a horrible bank! Last year I had received 9****NINE**** overdraft fees because THEIR TELLER couldn't tell the difference between CASH and a CHECK! And now they are trying to charge me $30 for an overdraft item that I supposedly did, instead of the $16. I had checked my account last night and I was in the positive and than my husband's paycheck hits midnight last night. So YOU WOULD think everything was okay right? Well, this morning I went to check my account and Bank of American decides that they are gonna put me in the neg. and push two holds through! So this way they could collect the OD fees! Let's just say that as soon as my husband gets back.. Bye Bye Bank of America and Hello USAA and Wells Fargo! At least with them, they give you ONE free atm use at another branch! ***By the way, I also use to work for them and take it from me... THEY RIP YOU OFF!!!!!!!***
NEVER USE MILITARY BANKING!!!!! by soco35 ,May 19 '09
Pros: ???????????? Cons: Horrible & Rude Customer Service
To be honest about it all this bank sucks. My husband was deployed to Iraq and I was added to the account and I also had POA. Whenever I went into the branch to make a deposit or a withdrawl I would always get "You're not on the account and just because you have POA you don't have access to everything dealing with the account." They cancelled the debit card with out telling us, stating "fraud" and I was only to use the debit card to pay bills. When you try to call and discuss anything with them they are RUDE. The customer service with this bank is horrible and I wouldn't advise anyone to use it. We have decided to close this account and switch to USAA where they (usaa) know how to treat military spouses and they give excellent customer service.
