Pros: Easy to obtain
Cons: Customer service is bad, APR is high
Despite the glowing epinions posted by other members of this glorious community, I am going to have to disagree about how great Capital One is. My experiences with Capital One lead me to believe that it is perhaps the worst credit company on the market....

by rabodzey , Aug 10 '07
Pros: Better than competitors with lower fees and rates.
Cons: Same as any card for bad credit.
I read a number of reviews on Capital One card and I think that people are very biased towards it. I’ll try to cover both sides of the question – pluses and minuses. Bear with me… Capital One Controversy If you look at the reviews ...

Pros: No annual fee, usually good customer service, very good website
Cons: Continuing solicitations, high APR if you plan on keeping a balance
I got my Capital One card in 2002. I've never had any problems with Capital One, aside from continuing solicitations for their other cards. My credit limit started at what seemed to be a small $200, which I believe is about average. However, if you ...

Pros: Easy to be approved
Cons: Too many to list. Read my review and Google search "capital one fraud"
As of the time of this writing, the State of West Virginia is sueing the company for its illegal operations. No wonder. You will see once you get one of their credit cards. I had applied for their "no annual fee" credit card, and shortly after they ...

Pros: great credit card designs, easy to use, accepted all over, great customer service
Cons: don't start out with a lot of credit, no rewards or cash back
I've had a Capital One credit card for almost three years, and I have never had any problems with it. I started out with a $500 credit limit and that was raised to $1000 after the first year. I expect another limit increase in a few months. I've never...

Pros: Cute TV commercials
Cons: God, I don't know where to start.... Read my review.
The best single word for Capital One is "Predatory". Their advertisements are cute and funny, but that's where the enjoyment stops. They have NO grace period, cascading levels of penalties and fees, and you'd better have Almighty God as your legal ...
