by dkozin dkozin is a Lead on Epinions in Electronics, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 10, Sep 07 '00
Pros: Excellent image quality/reliability and ease of use, good price, nice convenience features
Cons: Battery backup, looks?
Panasonic PV-9662 is 4-head Hi-Fi VCR, it adds Movie and Commercial Advance to the set of features that 9661 has.

4 video heads allow you to have excellent slow motion and still modes, and be able to use three speeds: SP – standard play...

One of the best VCRs from the VCR Expert!

by maverick0516 , Jun 16 '00
Pros: Good quality with useful features
Cons: Can't think of any!
Ok! Ok! Maybe I'm not an expert but I can tell you this much.... =) I bought this VCR about a year ago to replace my older Toshiba VCR. When I was just shopping for a VCR back then, I wanted something that has a lot of features but at the same time, I...

PV-8662 is simply the best vcr we've ever had

by SpeedSailor , Dec 28 '99
Pros: best picture and audio I've heard from a vcr
Cons: volume/channel buttons on remote are too small
Without question, this is the best vcr we've ever had. Period. We have it hooked up to our main home theater and this thing just plain out delivers! Where to start?

It is component sized, making it match and fit in nicely with all our other...

New Technology in a VCR

by kyo77 , Jun 01 '01
Pros: Good picture/audio quality, useful features, reasonable price.
Cons: Commercial Advance does not always work.
Although I'm not a fan of the low-rez of VHS, it's still one of the only ways to record TV shows (except for SVHS which is analog and $8/tape) and this vcr does it well. Probably the most useful feature is the commercial advance. The VCR marks when the...

Never watch commercials!

by scottmarcus , Nov 23 '00
Pros: Price, Commercial Advance Feature
Cons: Commercial Advance not 100% effective
We bought this VCR because we like to watch network TV shows, and *don't* like to watch the commercials.

It has all the standard features you'd expect in a current VCR: the remote is good, and the audio and video quality is good. It is also...

Easy to use and reliable

by damfino , Feb 06 '00
Pros: Easy to use and program, reliable Panasonic quality
Cons: small buttons on remote control
This is our 2nd Panasonic VCR. Our first one lasted almost ten years. When it finally died, we bought another well known brand that was on sale and recommended to us, and hated it so much we returned it almost immediately.
Panasonics are so easy...
