Pros: Very smooth sounding, intense level of comfort Cons: very power-hungry, white velvet earpads, look kinda goofy
I need to start with a small preface, I love sound, Im obsessed with it, and I listen to sound all day and all night on all different speakers and TVs and car systems. Due to my audiophile nature it is very possible there are things that would ...

Pros: Nice Bass
Smooth overall sound
Comfortable to wear
Sturdy Cons: None
I've owned this pair of headphones for 14 years now (I have the DT 990, not the pro, the only difference are the pads though). I dragged it back and forth between the US and Europe, and used it on a daily basis in the office for several years. It's still...

Great sound, terrible build quality
by huejahfink ,Mar 22 '07
Pros: Fantastic sounding and very comfortable. Cons: Until they break, and break..........
I was incredibly impressed with the sound of these headphones, they are probably the nicest headphones I have ever heard. Everything from low to high is incredibly clear and represented, and the transient response is very revealing for headphones.
Unfortunately, they keep blowing and distorting bass notes. My pair have blown twice in 6 months and even though Beyer have repaired, I am thoroughly unsatisfied with this. I've never had HP's blow on me in the past and these have only been plugged into the dedicated headphone out of my Focusrite Saffire audio interface.
They have been sat on the shelf as I have not had the time to post them to Beyer (again)
Despite my initial satisfaction with their (truly awesome) sound, these headphones were not worth the money and my low score reflects my disappointment.

Pro Equipment
by jrdenicol ,Aug 14 '04
Pros: Very comfortable
Soft bass response
Crispy and clear sound on the mid and higher frequencies Cons: High priced
This is one of the best headphones I ever heard. I heard it carefully and compared with other 10 pro tops. The environment was very simple, it was plugged in a portable CD with no reinforcement features, playing a Spyro Gyra tune. It sounds like a monitoring system with flat response, what makes it a reference equipment.
Despite the well known advice not to master and mix tracks with headphones, some works I did with this equipment (only) sounded awesome when submitted to the studio monitors.
Since this kind of equipment is not intended to use outside a studio, portability doesn't matter.
