Warmer, softer, fuzzier, and better sounding then your average puppy

by zoogelsnof Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Sep 06 '03
Pros: Comfortable, amazing sound, great surround, well priced, one sided removable cord!
Cons: Not very portable.
I need to start with a small preface, I love sound, I’m obsessed with it, and I listen to sound all day and all night on all different speakers and TV’s and car systems. Due to my audiophile nature it is very possible there are things that would ...

A wonderful set of German-quality sealed headphones

by deniscit , Jan 06 '06
Pros: Excellent sound quality, wide-range reproduction, comfy, lightweight, excellent build quality
Cons: If you have big ears, your ears might get tired after a while.
I used to have big bulky Sony MDR-V600 studio monitor headphones, and I thought they had a pretty decent sound that was rich in bass and crystal clear in the highs. But then I managed to break the plug on those in an airplane and figured it's time I did ...

The best it's own specific class

by squishedtoad , Oct 18 '02
Pros: Controlled, detailed sound, especially good bass. Good, modular construction. modular
Cons: Don't fold. Expensive.
I love these headphones. I bought them as an upgrade to Grado SR-60s, initially because I needed isolation (sound blocking) but I quickly fell in love with the sound.
These are not "sparkly" sounding headphones. They don't sound dead either, but...

Found at Last

by snipe6ca , Mar 28 '02
Pros: Comfortable, Excellent Sound All Round
Cons: None
I am a fan of Heavy Metal to Jazz and everything in-between. I have to say, there is nothing that will beat the sound of Smooooooth Jazz through a pair of Grado's, 325's and up. But every now and then I like to throw on Judas Priest "Live from Memphis"...

High Fidelity Comfort

by dperry9 , Jan 05 '00
Pros: Great sound and excellent comfort for the price
Cons: Sub-audiophile sound quality, but just fine for most listeners
The Beyer DT-250 headphones are a good choice as an entry level high-end head phone, offering high-fi sensitivity, wide dynamic range (10 Hz to 30,000 Hz), and a remarkably comfortable cushion and head band, as well as a simply stated professional...

Great sound and comfort!

by gorgon_123 , Dec 20 '02
Pros: Decent sound, good isolation, comfortable (velour earpads!), affordable.
Cons: Too hot to wear in the summer!
Once you graduate from the stock headphones that came with your portable CD player, you begin to realize how good music can really sound. I'm a student and don't have a lot of money to spend on fancy stereo equipment, so investing in a decent set of...

Beyer DT 250 vs. Sennheiser HD 25

by blindcyclops , Jan 08 '04
Pros: Durable. Good value $170 US. Comfort. Great sound for sealed headphones. Kills Sony's. Isolation.
Cons: Preferred Sennheiser HD 25. Bulky. Ugly. Still serious $ for headphones. For sealed users only!
I use headphones for composing music on a notebook PC while riding public transit. I was looking for great sound, the highest durability, efficiency (needed for notebook amps), portability, and high isolation of outside noise (closed design). After ...

DJ'n and portable playin'

by Todd , Aug 31 '99
Pros: Well built, good sound, decent isolation
Cons: a bit bass heavy
The DT250 is a very good choice for anyone looking for isolation, durability and good sound. They are 80 ohms and efficient so just about anything will power them including portable players. However, use of a headphone amp is helpful and recommended to...

Good sound, doesn't disturb those around me

by joshb , Dec 07 '99
Pros: sound, comfort, price, isolation
Cons: flimsy build
My Grado SR60s sounded great, but they bugged everyone around me. They're designed that way; they leak sound. So my quest was for closed headphones that sounded as good as my Grados, for under $200. These Beyers are it.

Very good sound, though...
