Pros: Easy to use, Great pictures
Cons: Cost of battery/ replace often.

Great camera

Pros: great pictures, zoom feature is very easy
Cons: battery in general
We have had our Vivitar 530PZ for about 3 years now. We too bought it before the birth of our first child. I'd never heard of the brand name Vivitar, but the camera had the features I wanted within the price range I wanted.

do not buy this camera

Pros: better appearance than many point and shoot camera's out there.
Cons: had to trade mine in twice because of blurred pictures.
i bought this camera right before the birth of my youngest son. Took pictures of his first christmas, and when picking up the pictures, i discovered that i didn't have ONE picture of his very first christmas... that was not blurred. I could barely make...
