Pros: You can use the Transpod as a car charger for your iPod. Cons: Won't come close to adequately playing your iPod audio thru your car stereo.
Greetings. I bought the Transpod by Netalog about three weeks ago at J&R Music World (online). Got it $10 cheaper than at the Apple Store (or anywhere else). I thought this might be a solution to a common problem, and if the Transpod didn't work, I ...

Pros: No wires, neat & Tidy Solution Cons: Very touchy fine tune, Radio Hiss
Intro
Alright, got my Ipod, loaded it up with tunes, now to take it in the car and listen to uninterrupted music, but how best to do it?
I am a neat freak; well ok maybe not totally, I am also lazy... ;) But now I have this...

Pros: Works as advertised, and provides convenience as an all-in-one car accessory. Cons: Flimsy build quality. It may last, but it doesn't feel like it will.
Note: This review is for the current 2005 version of the Transpod FM for iPods with Dock connectors only. For the past year or so I’ve been using the Griffin iTrip FM transmitter with my iPod mini and iPod 15GB (3G version). Despite living in the ...

Pros: Fairly well designed unit with sleek looks Cons: Everything else besides the looks
I purchased the TransPod unit with the intentions of listening to my own personalized radio station in my car. This was going to be accomplished by playing my new iPod through the TransPod. The concept was great...play my iPod through my FM receiver...

Pros: Very adaptable mounting system. Easy to install. All-in-one solution, with no extra cords. Cons: Tuner doesn't stay on frequency. Rattling noise due to loose internal parts. Bulky.
If this product hadn't come along, I was going to create my own version of this... unfortunately, I still might have to.
The biggest gripe I have is that they use a very touchy knob tuner for the FM frequency setting instead of a set of...

Pros: Full range of frequencies, mounts and charges iPod while playing!!! Cons: Long road trips required fine tuning in bigger cities
I have tried other FM transmitters and this is by far the best FM transmitter to play my iPod through my car stereo. I have the full range of the radio, whereas the other FM transmitters I have previously used had pre-set stations. The best thing about...

Works but poor sound quality
by adobe1 ,Feb 21 '05
Pros: Nice all in one package Cons: Sound quality is poor
In our suburban the device fit perfectly. It powers the iPod and plays into the FM radio just fine. The only issue is that you loose a lot of the fidelity, there is a low level but noticable staticy hiss noise and the music is at a much lower level than regular FM stations or any other component on the OEM stereo (and yes this was playing iTunes music and CDs ripped using ACC and MP3 at 192 - so its a device issues not the music).
All in all I would have expected better quality sound for something that cost $100. Although at this point Im not sure if there are any better alternatives.
Get it if you need one, but dont expect great or even good sound quality.
