An Excellent Antenna for High Definition viewing

by luclin999 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, May 08 '06
Pros: The best antenna I have every owned.
Cons: None.
One major problem with the new HDTV revolution is that a major portion of the HD programming is only available from local broadcasters over the air and not through satellite or able providers. This means that to enjoy the latest technology ironically we ...

Definitely worth a try

by teamtempest , Sep 13 '03
Pros: highly directional; small
Cons: highly directional; may need an additional amplifier if not close to HDTV transmitter(s)
The ZHDTV1 HDTV_UHF Digital Indoor Antenna from Gemini (which licensed the Zenith brand name in 2001, BTW) is designed for reception of High Definition Television (HDTV) broadcast signals in urban areas. This antenna is also commonly known as the ...

Performs like a rooftop antenna from inside your home

by len_in_texas , Dec 18 '06
Pros: simple to assemble and use, low cost, amazing performance
Cons: could use a heavier base
I am an old time HDTV user, having purchased my flat panel when they first came out a few years ago. I have an antenna installed on my roof to receive off air broadcasts. My wife and I purchased a new High Def Flat panel for my son and his family for ...

Excellent antenna for the price!

by scurtis60 , Nov 05 '06
Pros: Great reception, small, looks cool...
Cons: Top-heavy (falls over easily), not very durable, it's directional.
I live about 35 miles from Youngstown, OH and about 35 miles from Pittsburgh, PA. The list from antennaweb.org showed that I could receive 15 analog stations and only 2 digital stations. Of those stations, a few were rated Red, the majority were reated ...

Works Great
by bigmac2xk ,Jan 02 '07
Pros: Works. Not amplified (doesn't use electricity, nor plug on my surge protector)
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
Just came home with Zenith ZHDTV1.

Hooked it up and within 5 minutes had over 15 stations locked in with over half of them being HD broadcast channels.

Live in Antioch CA and am pointing antenna at Mount Diablo.

Great reception
by steve0296 ,Mar 19 '04
Pros: Excellent reception, works indoors, inexpensive.
Cons: Doesn't receive VHF broadcasts.
I live in Orange County, CA about 40 miles from the LA basin's HDTV transmitters. With this antenna, I get all the available stations, and the reception is excellent. I bought it after reading good reviews and hearing from a salesman at Best Buy that it worked great inside their building and every other antenna they'd tried had not. It is UHF only, so don't expect to receive VHF (non-HDTV)broadcasts. Also it is highly directional, for me that was no problem as all the area's stations were within a couple degrees of one another.

ALL OF THE HYPE IS TRUE!!!
by ramsfan195 ,Aug 11 '05
Pros: Works great, very efficient and easy to set up and use!
Cons: Can't think of any!
Well, I did some serious and extensive research on indoor antennas ranging in price from $20 to $150. I came here to see the reviews and everyone seems to love this antenna. Well, you can add me to the list now. It's well worth the $30 I paid for it and it works great even without a signal booster. Awesome, I highly recommend it because it looks sharp and work excellently. I have so much concrete all around me but this baby has no problem picking out the signals. No wonder it's so highly regarded. I am watching "The Tonight Show" with my jaw dropping on my 61" rear projection TV.
