Great for people constantly on the move

by florianu , Mar 23 '00
Pros: Size, weight, display, look, keyboard
Cons: Battery, limited RAM, no disk or CD-ROM drive
I have been using the Actius A-280 now for two weeks. Here is how satisfied I am with my recent purchase:

Good:
+ The Actius has a fabulously bright display, it is limited to a 800x600 resolution however. (The A-290 will support...

Thin is in!

by potceman , Feb 07 '01
Pros: Lightweight, thin, sleek-looking, inexpensive, BEAUTIFUL Screen, built in Ports
Cons: No CD-ROM included, battery life, Chicklets for keys, only one PC Card Slot

by sabade , Aug 27 '00
Pros: low price, built in ethernet, light weight
Cons: poor battery, poor control over power-down, potentially fragile screen
I purchased the A280 because I got a great deal on clearance. I paid $1069 for the unit, $159 for the Lithium polymer battery plate and $199 for a portable external PCMCIA 2X DVD unit.

This laptop is offered at a great price - especially since...
