I found these speakers at the local dump. The outsides were scratched a bit, but intact with the grills and brackets. The name Bose got my intention and I figured they were worth a try.
I put them to my Pioneer receiver amp and WOW! I am currently using them in my surround system and they definitely aren't the weakest link! Until I checked this site, I didn't know they were outdoor speakers.

I've had the Bose 251 speakers for a month now and I'm extremely satisfied with them. I cranked them up loud for the first time this past weekend and was very impressed with their performance. The speakers are mounted to the ceiling of a covered porch, so I was a little concerned with how the acoustics would be, but they sound awesome. Crisp, clear highs, rich mid-tones, and good bass, even at high volume. I highly recommend these speakers.
I have yet to hook them up outside but inside they rival my Definitive Technology Theatre Speakers, JBL Speakers, and Pioneer Speakers. I would recommend these Bose 251's to a friend as well as the whole product line of various Bose speakers..electrical engineering at its finest..why did I wait so long to get Bose!!??
