Nice video card, but don't buy it.

Pros: 128MB of RAM and fast GPU make using FSAA possible
Cons: Obsolete. Radeon 9700 is faster, GeforceFX shipping in March
Those are harsh words, especially for a video card that I own, but as someone who knows what is happening in the PC marketplace, I can only advise you to stay away from this card right now.

I Love My VisionTek Ti4600

by mjdart , Dec 15 '02
Pros: Very powerful and compatible
Cons: Cost, but it's coming down
I just replaced my nVIDIA GeForce 3 Ti200 with a spanking new Visiontek Xtasy Ti4600. I have a new Dell 8200 and it fit in my AGP slot without a hitch. Now my power supply is only rated at 250 Watts so I am counting on Dell being a bit conservative with...

Absolutely worthless
by tommo8508 ,Dec 17 '04
Pros: Close to being 2004's mainstream card.
Cons: Poor customer service/loyalty, no lifetime warranty, no DirectX 9.0 support.
I've had trouble with this card numerous times. After a year, the fan attached to the heatsink failed, and had to be replaced. A year from that, the card did not work anymore.

Seeing as the company is bankrupt, the lifetime warranty was void. I was offered an upgrade plan by the company that acquired Visiontek. This offer was not worth returning my card for as the prices on their online store were less.

The card was the top of the line in late 2001, and still puts up a fight today, but has no DirectX 9.0 support.
