Pros: Great fabric that really keeps you cool when working out. Cons: You'll pay at the cash register.
If there’s one shopping rule my mother taught me growing up, it’s this: Never pay full price, shop around. But the older I get the more I realize I don’t have the intestinal fortitude my mother had and sometimes just to have the latest sportswear I’m ...
Pros: Comfortable, warm and dry under apparel for sports Cons: Takes a little getting used to, confusing number of styles
After working in hockey retail for quite some time and retaining my firm level of skepticism about the possible value in over-priced polyester looking underwear, I finally parted with my cynicism and purchased some Under Armour. The first item that I ...
Under Armour is a great invention. When I played football in high school nearly everyone had at least one Under Armour shirt. I had both a cold weather and a hot weather shirt. Under Armour comes in several different types including women's Under Armour. ...
Pros: Great performance, great quality. Cons: Premium price, hand-washing required, need to be careful with size/fit.
Ok, let's get this right out front - this is a serious athletic shirt. It isn't for everybody. It's tight - a compression fit, the equivalent of wearing a pair of running tights, but on your upper body. Not everyone likes or is comfortable with this fit, ...
I came across Under Armour’s Heat-Gear T-shirt in a search for workout apparel. Initially I was hesitant to purchase anything from Under Armour, because they are a fairly young sporting goods company compared to Nike or Adidas. I went to a sporting ...
Pros: tight-fitting, moves with you, not restricting, cools you off a lot Cons: women's sizes are hard to get in stores
Living in south Florida, track practices and track meets tend to get really hot. Last May at the high school track & field state finals in Gainesville at the University of Florida, I think it was somewhere over 90 degrees outside - and that was in the ...
Pros: Wicks sweat, keeps you cool, doesn't shrink or chafe Cons: Bunching of sleeves under arms is uncomfortable at times
Anyone who has worked out knows that while a sweaty t-shirt makes it look like you're a gym rat, in reality cotton sucks. Under Armour's Heat Gear Full T-Shirt is a great alternative to cotton t-shirts, and other synthetic shirts, such as Nike Dri-Fit.
I normally wear Under Armour to run, when working in my school's gym, or when refing basketball. It really does wick sweat away quickly and keeps you dry and cool. Anyone who has refereed before knows that polyester officiating jerseys are extremely uncomfortable without an undershirt. Heat Gear is a great option for that.
My biggest complaint with Heat Gear has to do with bunching under my arms. It seems to happen continually, but is quickly eliminated by tugging on the sleeve a bit. Due to the form-fit, you definetly need to try Under Armour on, even if you buy it later on-line. Walk around for a bit to see if you have the same problem with the arms as I do. If you do, the Heat Gear Sleeveless T-shirt is probably worth a look.
Overall though, still the best athletics undershirt around.
I recently purchased two Under Armour shirts, since I didnt like my cotton-tees when I work out and lift weights. It was a good purchase. It keeps me cool during my workouts, or when I go running, or whenever it is hot outside (I live in New Mexico and it gets really hot here) It feels so comfortable, almost like a second layer of skin, whre your sweat get pulled to the surface of, where the A/C or wind, or whatever blowes over it and cools you off. You can even wear them as a casual shirt in public, where is shows off all of your muscles to the girls. It dosnt get in my way. It dosnt even bunch up when I do bench presses. It is even nicer when I wear it as my jersey on my enduro bike, and it super cools you off on a hot day, seeing that your going about a consant seventy miles per hour. I now am setting out for some leggings, for running. If you have longishhair like me, all you need is to get some clippers, and shave off your sweaty mop, or better, get an underarmour skull cap!
Pros: He loves it! Cons: Can't get that smell out!
I finally got my husband something for his birthday that her really appreciated, Under Armour Heat Gear Tees and Leggings. They are perfect for his workouts in the gym and show off his hard work as well.
However, my laundry room smells like a feral animal is on the loose! I have tried soaking with detergent from 30 minutes to several days, lingerie soaks, hanging to dry, drying in the dryer (seems to be the worst) hanging in the sun.
It will keep you cool in hot weather under exertion!
Cons: -Smell. -Shoulder seam design. -You stop, you freeze!
I used the long sleeve for backcountry hunting. It works great when you're on the move to keep you cool but it still keeps cooling when you stop - not necessarily a good thing. Plus, you will smell awful after a hard day. Lastly, the shoulder seams are poorly located if you're carrying a pack - right across the top. Most upper end shirts now have made accomodations for this. Since you're already spending the money, a few dollars more will get you merino wool like Icebreaker, Ibex, I/O Biocompatibles, etc. Better design, no smell, will keep you cool when it's hot and warm when it's cool.
