Super Alternative to Access Point

Pros: Easy to install. No need for expensive access point. Very fast when paired with Cable/DSL.
Cons: Not as reliable as an access point.
I already had a desktop computer with a cable modem and when I recently bought a laptop I of course wanted to network the two computers to share the same internet connection as well as file and printer sharing. I checked into wireless networking first...
