Overall this is a very nice notebook. It comes fully equipt with 2 ghz processor and 40 g HDD. Also has a combo CDR/DVD drive which is really nice. Fast performance, comes with a built in Network Card. The only downfall I have found on this Notebook is the old video card it uses. Which through me off cause I wasn't able to play just about 80% of the games that are out, because most games need a 32 mb video card to run. On an overall rating I still rate this notebook a 8.5, it would get a 10 if it had a 32 mb video card.
Stay away from this one! The entire unit appears cheaply built. The left click button has worn out after less than two weeks of use. The keyboard mouse has become polished and unresponsive in the same lenght of time. The drivers supplied by Toshiba for the graphics (ATI)are continually failing, and require much time devoted to machine maintenance. The overall performance is very poor. The Toshiba website support has not responded to numerous requests for assistance. If the vendor had not been unwilling to allow return of this overpriced product, it would have.
Great buy and nice design. Don't listen to weak computer users with no computing ability who talk of software glitches or cheap style case. Video memory is only 16mb but the P4-2ghz processor easily makes up for lost video performance. Most 3d games play very good if you have skills and know how to use this Computer to its full advantage. No problems with display or keyboard. Its a laptop, you can't pound on it like a desktop, so don't wine if you get a stuck key. I have a Gateway 600 series notebook and a Dell 8200, the toshiba out does them both. Just wish they had put at least a 32mb videocard. I definately recommend this system.

when the 1905-S301 arrived. I noticed that the hard drive was a single drive "c:". So I did a fdisk, created a 8gig "c:"drive and a 32gig "D:" drive. I gave 8gig to the operating system (windows) and 32 gig for my data files. installed my own operating system (winXP-Pro) went to Toshiba's website and downloaded all the needed drivers (nic,video,intel chipset,battery saver, EZ buttons)by the way installing the updated drivers from Toshiba's website was as easy as it gets. And it's been a week and ths computer jets, it's the best laptop for the money. But
when I ran the installed software for a few days it was still very good, winXP home is fine for most users, but I use this computer on a network with a domain. And since I partitioned the hard drive, doing a defrag or speed disk is faster on 8gigs than 40gigs
and the best laptop case for this computer is the Xbox travel case, around $34.00
would I buy this computer if I could do it all over again.... Yes
