Pros: Comfort to die for, Superb craftsmanship, Luxurious styling, Satisfies two sleepers with different requirements Cons: Expense; Requires extra deep-pocketed sheets and the largest quilt you can find.
Not Much
Hey y'all, Linda came in here while I was preparing this review, took one look at my notes and started laughing. Most people I know cannot resist the urge to giggle when their ears are treated to her laugh. It tickles them right in...
Pros: Haven't discovered any Cons: Very poor workmanship and materials
It is time for me to move into a house that I rebuilt and
I need a new bed. I've been sleeping on a waterbed for about
fifteen years and have had enough so I've been considering
what to buy. Since I've had a lower back problem for a

Pros: None Cons: Spring Air does not stand by their product or make remedy for faulty products.
I purchased a queen mattress 12/5/2005. Instructions that came with the mattress suggested turning the mattress. Initially the mattress was very comfortable. But within three to four months I noticed the mattress was beginning to sink in the middle. I ...
Pros: Nice mattress cover material.
Cons: Mattress substandard in size.
Pillowtop collapses quickly.
Company does not stand behind their product.
After looking at different mattresses until we were dizzy, we finally selected a Spring Air, based on the local store which was owned by an individual I felt I could trust. The mattress was pricey! Very pricey! I might add here, we paid upon delivery ...
Pros: none Cons: substandard product deteriorating into a painful night's sleep.
In the summer of 2001, we purchased a Spring Air Comfort Caress Ambiance king-size set. Within one year, but after the dealer's return period, we found that the mattress was forming deep body imprints. My wife and I were "coffined" during sleep and began ...
When we first bought our Spring Air mattress, it felt nice and "plush". It seemed like a pretty good deal at about $100 less than the leading brand, but I soon found it that it was not nearly the quality that we expected. First, we noticed that the box ...
Spring Air + Boscov's = Consumer Fraud by mpd0816 ,Feb 08 '08
Pros: Their lawyers know how to write warranties that say a bunch of nothing. Cons: Defective product. Slick marketing.
We purchased Spring Air Infinity at Boscov's Jan 4th, 2008 for $1,600. Within the first week, we noticed that sinking feeling, like sleeping on a wet sponge. We wake up in the middle of the night to climb out of sinkhole. Rotating the mattress weekly did not help. Called Boscov's within 30 days of purchase, was told it was a "Comfort Issue" and not covered by warranty. They agreed to send mattress evaluator to see if mattress sags with nobody on it. The Evaluator and I agreed that his "String Test" for sagging is not relevant to the problem. Therefore, no need for him to visit. He would send report detailing my complaint. It is obvious that Spring Air and Boscov's are well aware of defective product, but cannot afford to make it right.
Lesson learned: People don't return quality products. Buy a good mattress from a reputable store that backs their products with a genuine warranty.
BUYER BEWARE do not buy from SPRING AIR by hondalover55 ,Oct 15 '05
Pros: The mattress appears nice for the first 3 years. Cons: The warranty is a sham. The company is terrible to deal with. Comfort doesn't last.
I have a Never Turn Spring Air mattress. It's only 5 years old and is beginning to sag on my side and my husband's side. We have two very visible and large indents on both sides of the bed. Ironically the mattress has a full replacement warranty of 10 years however, the company will not replace my mattress as they claim that the store in which I bought the SPRING AIR mattress, is not a CERTIFIED SPRING AIR DEALER!!! BUYER BEWARE!!!
Wish I bought a different bed by happygirl55555 ,Feb 19 '07
Pros: nice fabric covering mattress and box springs Cons: pillow top sags and caused back pain, requires expensive deep pocket sheets and huge quilt
The pillow top does not spring back to its original shape. We had huge body impressions, or sagging dents, in the pillow top within a month of using the mattress. It's hard to get to your partner, with the big out-dent of mattress in between you. Mostly though, it caused us to have very sore backs. Of course, this took about 9 months to figure out our bed was causing our back pain. It was too late to exchange the bed (we had a 90 day sleep guarantee). We ended up flipping a non-flippable mattress and buying a foam topper for the side you aren't supposed to sleep on. Better, but not ideal. I wish we had never bought this bed. It was expensive, and now we are facing the fact we will need to buy another bed only 2 years later. UG!
I'm not sure if this is just a Spring Air problem or not, but my next bed will have a far smaller pillow top, or none, just in case.
Pros: It was nice for the first month Cons: read the first part, plus it cast an arm and a leg.
I have a Never Turn Spring Air mattress. I have a bad back and the sales person at JC Penny's said it would be good for that. And it was for a while. I started after a few months to develop a hole where I sleep. I went to Penny's and they told me to call the maker. So I did. they ask if I had been rotating (turning) the mattress. Why OH why would I have to do that? I was told so it wares evenly. Then WHY IS IT CALLED A Never Turn?!? The thing doesn't even have handles on it and it's as thick as a house. It take two strong people to turn it. I have to pay folks to come and move my mattress, how absurd is that?
Pros: great the at first.. Cons: Bad Customer Service and will not Stand behind their product when a claim is made..
Bought this mattress from Home Place and the comfort seemed to be great at the begginning but only after 1 year it started sagging on my side leaving my back hurting. Tried to file a claim through the company but they gave me the run-around about my so called warranty. For anyone looking to buy a new mattress be sure to Stay Away from SPRINGAIR because they do not Stand Behind their product.....
Spring Air is in Bankruptcy by kamakawiwoole ,Jun 15 '09
Pros: None Cons: No responsibility for product or service.
As a professional interior designer in St. Louis, I have always believed in responsibility and quality. I have sold Spring Air for years. The mattresses were manufactured in a St. Louis plant, and service was never a problem. I sleep on their mattress and box springs. When there was a problem with the pillow top, I received another mattress immediately. No questions, but they wanted the old mattress to see what went wrong. I recently sold a queen set that had problems, and, since the local plant is closed, contacted the Spring Air main company to find out: 1, They would only work with the consumer (not me, their customer) 2. There were many, many conditions that needed to be met to file a claim. 3. They tried every delay tactic possible, until we sent the paperwork registered. I would have paid for a new mattress and box, had they not come through after 6 months. They are now owned by Edward Bates as Spring Air International, LLC. Be careful of the customer service and replacement terms for defective product. Mistakes happen, but delays and accusations from Spring Air are inexcusable. Buy from someone after you inquire about the service and replacement policy.
Pros: It does have a nice pillow topper on it. Cons: Poor quality not worth it.
We bought our Chattam & Wells mattress and box spring in 2004. Sadly now, in 2007 it is sagging bad in the middle. It wasn't worth the money at all. It slept good for the first six months or so, and now we're in the market for a new bed. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, the back pain isn't worth it! On a side note, my husband and myself are both of average weight, and do not understand why this mattress didn't hold up.
I bought a queen sized Spring Air (comfortflex) mattress about 3 years ago and it is shot. The springs have given up and no longer support my body. I weigh 185 lbs. there is no excuse. I spent over $600. Never again. spend enough money to buy a better mattress.
