Pros: Lightweight for DJ phones, good looking, great sound, and comfortable. Cons: No reversible earcups. Too much bass for some folks especially for some music styles.
When considering buying these headphones remember that they are closed headphones. This means that there will be no airflow by your ears and can get quite warm in there. If you plan to use headphones for prolonged time out in higher ...
Pros: Inexpensive, better than average sound quality. Cons: Way too much bass, very uncomfortable for extended listening sessions.
If you're a music lover, you'll almost inevitably run into those situations where you want to listen to your music but those around you don't share your enthusiasm for music. In these types of situations, you have two choices. You can either suffer ...
I purchased these headphones in December of 2004 for the sole purpose of taking them when I traveled. My wife and I travel, at times a great amount, and I always have to have some type of electronic toy to entertainment me on the flight. These ...
Pros: Lightweight, good isolation, inexpensive, efficient, good sound for themoney Cons: overall dark presentation
The Sennheiser 212 is the latest effort from one of the worlds top producers of headphones. In the past their lower cost headphones did not stand up to the acclaim that their higher end headphones rightly received. All that is changing.
Being a...
Pros: good quality, lots of subtle yet useful features Cons: None!
I am a radio DJ on an FM punk show here in Dallas, TX, and I must say - I love these headphones! They definitely get the job done! When I found out I got the DJ spot I needed some headphones quick, and didn't have much money to spend. I headed out to ...
Pros: Bass response,
lightweight,
crystal clear sound throughout the frequency range,
affordable,
stylish. Cons: dual cord,
headband,
volume output on portable mp3 players.
When I was shopping for some cans for my Zune 80 I wanted two main things, great bass response and natural sounding mids and highs. These cans passed with flying colors!!! I used to own a set of Denon AH-D350 cans and they were the best I'd ever ...
Pros: sound quality, comfort, long cord, light weight, price. Cons: I guess the balls could wear out from removing the ear-pads enough times.
I got these for my birthday last month and was very pleased with them when I used them. First thing that's really cool about them is the 3.5mm stereo jack comes with a 6.3mm (1/4in.) stereo adapter, and the cable is really long at about 10 ft. I'd say. ...
Pros: Comfortable Cons: Bass way too strong (or mids and highs too weak)
These cans have a nice design, but rather poor sound. The overall construction is solid and backed by a 2 year warranty. A bit plasticky, but that's to be expected at this price.
The cans are detachable and are adjustable to a dozen fixed...
Excellent sound and value by rmgarrett ,Dec 09 '03
Pros: Excellent sound for the price. Cons: Don't fold up.
I have tried these headphones on several devices including two different laptops, a portable cd player, and an mp3 player and every time they deliver quality sound: Crisp highs, thumping bass, and excellent mids.
I wear them every day on the subway and the cup design does a good job of blocking out most of the sound. They actually are comparable to some of the noise reducing headphones I have tried.
They are comfortable and the cord is longer than an average pair (around 8 feet I estimate).
The only con would be portability, since these do not break down or fold.
These Headphones Are Awesome!!!! by djwk13 ,Dec 14 '03
Pros: awesome sound for the price! Cons: nothing i didnt expect
I read reviews on Amazon.com and several people complained that there was too much bass, but I gave them a shot anyways. I got them, and I love em! The bass is powerful, but not overly so. But then again, I am a bassist and a drummer so I may be biased. The highs are great too, and it could do better on the midrange, but I'm not complaining because they're still ridiculously awesome for the price I paid.
In terms of fit, they feel really comfortable, but I've been told that I have small ears, so big-eared people beware. Also, since they're closed, it'll get a little warm, but nothing too bad at all
Just to clarify, I'm not using these for professional stuff and I'm not a dj either (which is what they recommended the headphones for). I'm just an audiophile who wanted to invest in a nice pair of headphones. So unless you can't handle a lot of bass, or you have big ears, get these headphones, because you can't get higher quality for this kind of price!
Pros: Sound is decent Cons: Not worth the headaches
While the bassy sound on these headphones is ok for it's price range, these things hurt my goddamned head if I have them on for more than 5 minutes. Not to mention the fact that they look ridiculous too! I would definitely NOT recommend paying for these, especially if you have a big @ss head like mine.
coming from a teenager...... by josh_qld_aus ,May 20 '04
Pros: wicked bass, no distortion, blocks ambient noises, fit comfortably Cons: they tend to get your ears a bit hot for extensive use
OK for starters, I'm a 15yr old from Australia and I've just purchased a set of these headphones and I have to say first, I LOVE THEM. Reading through some of the reviews on here I have noticed that you've generalised teenagers into "bass freaks", which is totally true and this is what these Sennheisers give you; lots and lots of bass. I seriously can't get enough of it. In the past year I've purchased Logitech Z680 5.1 speakers, even with the massive subwoofer (180W RMS), it didn't satisfy me enough with the bass. I've yet to hear my HD212 Pro's distort, unlike the Z680's. My recommendation is if you are a teenager audiophile, buy them! It's just too bad I had to order them from US and pay a hefty postage cost. One other thing I must add is that wearing them is like a sound barrier; you can't hear the outside world with them on and the outside world can't here you!
