Pros: Compatible with iPod Cons: Too many flaws for the price
Who could have foreseen the popularity of the iPod? Certainly, not me! I didn't even want one. I have to admit that I like my iPod more than I thought I would. (I do love my npr podcasts.) The convenience of having one's music ...
Pros: Waking up to what YOU want to listen to. Cons: "Male" plug peril and unecessary remote.
SKINNY I love my iPod. I didn’t want to, I laughed at those who “needed” a gagillion songs to be available on their portable music player. Well, guess what? Not only have I become one of those fanatics (although, I fear I have always been this ...
Pros: Loaded with features, easy to use, good sound, the remote, battery back-up. Cons: Can't set iPod volume for waking, FM antenna dangles.
Opening Ever since buying an iPod Nano I have been using iTunes and listening to my music library with a new sense of interest. However, the most frustrating thing was that I couldn’t bring the music to my bedroom unless I was wearing ...
Pros: It has a very clear sound, and is very durable. Cons: None
IHome; the Perfect Fit for Everyone I received an iHome, version iH8, last year as a gift from my brother for my high school graduation. This was a wonderful gift for a college student because with limited space available it is practical to have one ...
Pros: Fantastic design and features, well engineered and manufactured. Cons: Bright bright bright display!
wake to ipod is full-mute to full volume in 5 seconds!
Bought this for my wife as a gift. Her ipod is never charged and this looked like an elegant way to both keep the ipod charged, and allow her to listen to books and subscription programs while she sits in bed.And for this it's absolutely brilliant! ...
Pros: Wake up to your music, docking/charging station for iPod. Cons: Very bright display, gradual volume wake feature, not so gradual.
Clunky, fussy, hard to dial in a station, poor sound, annoying buzzer or radio. This describes a regular alarm clock to a tee. Not any more with the iHome IH5. Now you can awake to the sounds of your iPod, the music you want to hear when you wake up. ...
Pros: great idea, excellent sound quality, changed the way i listen to music Cons: alarm system needs work
The iHome is a very good system that plays any size iPod on it. This has changed my way of falling asleep at night. Previously, I would put my iPod on its sleep setting, put the earbuds in my ear, and listen until I fell asleep. Ever fall asleep with ...
Our consumer market is flooded with thousands of products claiming to have everything you need in one simple product.Sometimes there are so many things in one that you wonder if you would ever need all of it. The iHome docking system comes with a radio, ...
Pros: Really Convenient Cons: Display can be too bright
I received an I Home as a gift for my birthday. i have to say, it was a good one. I travel a lot and I was constantly finding myself with an uncharged IPod. I would forget to charge it before heading on my trip. Now, with the IHome I can keep it docked ...
Pros: Good Sound, battery back up for clock, big bright display. Cons: Not compatible with the G3 dockable iPod, kind of poorly designed knobs.
I really like this unit in most respects but the unfortunate thing is that it is NOT fully compatible with the G3 iPod. Newer retail boxes I have seen have a little text warning stating that they don't work with that iPod model but the one I received for ...
Pros: Ipod, FM, weather, TV all in one for my kitchen! Cons: Ipod Shuffle connection is not the best with this unit.
This was an impulse buy for us at Sams. We saw it and bought it to replace our spacesaver kitchen radio thinking that being able to play our IPods in the kitchen would be great. We were pleased to find that it installed easily, the music plays clearly ...
Pros: Attractive, decent sound quality, charges iPod Cons: Doesn't charge other mp3s, average radio reception
I bought this product to replace my existing alarm clock. The appeal of it is the ability to charge and listen to your iPod with decent quality speakers. It comes with several inserts to fit a variety of iPod sizes and they are labeled so it's easy to ...

Pros: none Cons: too expensive for what you get
I have a home office, so I was looking for something that would allow me to listen to my iPod while working. In doing some Internet searches, iHome was one of (surprisingly not many) contenders. Without going way over $100, it looked like that was the way to go.
My husband and I went over to Best Buy, and I had every intention of buying it then and there. We had an opportunity to listen to the speaker quality, and were WAY under-impressed.
That was when my husband had the (admittedly) brilliant idea of buying a boombox with a "line in" input. Along with an inexpensive cable (one end goes into the "line in" input, the other end goes into your iPod headphone jack), this solution resulted with WAY better sound quality and only cost us a total of $50 ($45 for the boombox + $5 for the cable).

Pros: Has a slick look to it, and creates great sound Cons: No cons
I actually own the iHome and haven't experienced any problems with it yet. This little stereo creates great sound and also has a cool slick look to it. The iHome includes a dock that can be placed where the iPod is plugged in that allows you to use all different sizes of iPods. I would recommend that if you are going to buy a stereo that plays iPods that you get the SDI iHome because it is the best.
Pros: Good looking, acceptable FM and I-Pod; Cons: Unusable A.M.; Plug is enormous;
Attractive design, adequate sound for F.M. and I-Pod, but very poor AM reception. In fact, I cannot receive A.M. without a lot of static. They made a good product. If you can live without A.M. then buy it. Also, I was surprised by the FM wire that hangs down. The plug is as big as your fist (looks like old Army surplus) and is best hidden behind a chair.
