Needed quality capacitors
by z0mbie88 ,Dec 25 '06
Pros: Jumperless, Takes DDR or SDRAM Cons: BAD CAPACITORS
If only Shuttle had used quality capacitors in this board it would have been a five star board. Unfortunately they didn't. This is a very versatile board and very attractive to upgraders due to the fact that it can use both PC133 SDRam or PC2100 DDR ram. It is one of a handful of boards out there that did this. Shuttle should have never cut corners and used "Cheap" capacitors, but they did. If you are fortunate enough to find this board refurbished with "new" capacitors then grab it cheap if you need it. But if it hasn't been refurbished, STAY AWAY!

When I installed this...
by mike_the_knife_dt3000 ,Feb 03 '03
When I installed this board it did not activate my GeForce 2 MX AGP videocard and would not boot-up no matter how many times I pressed reset. My RIVA TNT2 videocard would not work either. Only my NVIDIA Vanta AGP card would work on this board but I have to reboot my computer at least three times before it would boot-up (board bought new one month ago). I bought two boards and BOTH have the problem! My PCI videocards worked without problems.
The CD with the audio and video drivers that can with one of the boards was unreadable in any CD drive I put it in. Luckily the other one was fine.
I'm no first-time builder; this is the tenth system I've built from scratch and have never had this type of problem with any other motherboard.
