Recoton Wireless Stereo Headphone System Headphones

Pros: Good quality sound when tuning is correctly adjusted on both the receiver and transmitter.
Cons: Polycarbonate film on earphones degrade easily and crumble.

I bought these around 1997 and the batteries have failed about 2 years ago. For some reason, I just didn't bother looking for new battery replacement. For those of you still looking for batteries, you can find them at :

Pros: THERE IS NO PRO WITH THIS INSTRUMENT
Cons: BATTERY IS UNIQUE AND IS NOT AVAILABLE IN LOCAL STORES.

RECOTON 500 STEREO HEADPHONE WAS AVAILABLE IN RADIO SHACK. I BOUGHT IT AND NOW THE BATTERY RECOTON W507B IS NOT AVAILABLE EASILY. I AM TOLD, THE COMPANY WENT BANKRUPT AND WAS BOUGHT BY SOMEONE ELSE. THE BOOKLET THAT CAME WITH THE HEADPHONE GIVES A TOLL FREE NUMBER. WHEN CONTACTED, THEY SAID THE BATTERY IS NOT AVAILABLE WITH THEM. THE BATTERY USED ACCORDING TO INSTRUCTIONS, DOES NOT LAST LONG. WHY DO THEY MAKE SUCH PRODUCTS WHICH ARE NO GOOD AND CHEAT CUSTOMERS?

Pros: Perfect for having TV and movies without disturbing my wife.
Cons: No support. No replacement batteries. Quality of materials is moderate at best. Waste of money.

The battery is not replaceable and the headphones for which I paid over $100 are worthless. The material over the ears is flaking off. They were great while they worked, albeit with somewhat limited range.

Pros: I like this headset over several others

I had this headset for a few years-bought on e-bay used. Batteries eventually no longer took a charge. I got the same answer as all of you did. Pros: Works great, rechargeable, affordable!
Cons: A little bulky, plastic coating is flaking off the ear and head cushions.

I bought the Recoton W500 used on eBay for about $15, and
have been using it most all day, every day at work for the
past 6 months. I have it attached to my computer so that I
can listen to internet radio and MP3's.

I'm quite satisfied with the sound quality and the range,
I can walk out to my car in the parking lot and still listen. But if I try to walk to the 2 other buildings in my office park, it's hit or miss...sometimes the sound quality is OK, other times there's too much static.

The headset is rechargeable, I just plug it in before I
leave work, and it's good to go the next day. I've never
had it run out of juice, even after 8 or 9 hours of use.
