So, I'll be honest. When I say top of the line, I mean the top of RCA's line. This camera wouldn't compete with a Canon GL or XL or a high-end Sony, but for $700 dollars, you're not gonna find a better camera.

I bought this product in 2001 for $499 on an open-box sale they were having at frys. Whenever I told anyone I had an rca camera they would look at me funny, but when I pulled it out of the bag and showed them the features, they wanted to know where to buy one. I believe in this camera to the very core of my soul.

5 years after my purchase, I bought a canon xl2 for $4,000. almost 10x the price, hoping that I would get better results for some green screen filming I was doing. Come to find out that with a well lit chroma key set, I would get the same results with both cameras. how could that be? I'm not really sure, but I think it means that aside from low-light situations and lens features, the RCA cc9390 is just as good of camera as the canon xl2 at 1/10 the price. I would recommend this camera to anyone.
