Pros: Great price, durability, features, and it looks good in your GM vehicle. Cons: No fancy displays, no separate FHPF/RHPF.
When it comes to finding an aftermarket CD player to fill the 1.5 din opening all GM vehicles have, there is one simple solution: Pioneer DEH-P77DH. I originally had a Pioneer DEH-P47DH, which is the same thing as the P77DH, less a few features, and...
Pros: Easy to use, easy to read, works great with or without a full system Cons: Memory is lost if battery dies, not enough title storage.
I bought my Pioneer DEH- P77DH headunit for two main reasons; because I have had only good experiences with pioneer headunits, and because it keeps the stock look in your GM/Chysler by fitting perfectly into the stock stereo space. The headunit is sleek...
Pros: Great sound. Great fit. Easy to install. Cons: The menus are not as intuitive as they could be. A little expensive.
Having owned my Wrangler for 4 years, I have continually been upgrading pieces along the way. One of the areas I have played with is the sound coming from my stereo. At some point I upgraded the speakers in my sound bar with some Pioneer 200W units, but ...
Pros: Great fit in GM vehicles, good sound controuring controls. Cons: Rotary knob needs too many turns, outdated display.
This was my second 1.5 DIN Pioneer CD headunit. I also have (and reviewed) the DEH-P47DH. The DEH-P77 is much better suited for a multi-amp setup. It has 3 RCA outputs (1 non-fading). It also has an assortment of controls: programed EQ modes, ...
I had done a lot of searching for a reasonably priced, higher powered cd-receiver for my Jeep Wrangler and found this unit. A buddy had the deh-p47dh system in his car and I had been impressed with the sound and figured to spend a couple more bucks and...
Pioneer Always a Step Ahead in Decks by boozzer420 ,Jun 30 '04
Pros: Easy to Apply, Easy to Use, Great Sound Cons: Plain Looking, Not enough title space for songs
Pioneer is a name that has never failed. Once again with this deck they continue to keep up their reputation of a great stereo company. I recently bought this deck for my '01 Grand Prix, and as others have said it really is a great, easy fit to install into GM Vehicles. Not to say that it won't fit/work in another vehicle, just if you have a GM car then this is the deck for you. There is nothing really special about this CD Player, very plain design but in another sense it's almost like a throw back CD Player. It produces exceptional sounds especially if you throw some new speakers into your car. Overall a great buy for around $200
