I purchased the C2200 in the Spring of 2006.  I am a fast walker (average 5 MPH) and put 15 miles a week on the treadmill. I am glad I purchased an extra service plan since I have called for service over 5 times in the past 2.5 years for a variety of issues that have resulted in the following components being replaced: front & rear rollers, idler pulleys, drive belt, and walking belt.  I do not think this machine is built to take on a serious walker or runner, but rather a casual user. 

Pros: Quiet, secure, well built.
Cons: Heart Monitor is questionable, can't lock the display for time or distance.

I bought the Nordic Track C2200 at Sears, on sale for $799. Although it's one big mother to get in and out of the Suburban, it's a breeze to assemble and operate. It's quiet, strong, fair and balanced (Gee - just like Fox News!). It really is a nice piece of equipment. It complements the weights and bike trainer. A really nice addition and of very good quality.

Pros: Easy to use with MPH and Incline buttons.
Cons: Trainer Programs are not described anywhere in manual. Service takes forever to contact.

The Heart Rate version of the C2200 is the C2150. Although the treadmill runs well it required quite a few adjustments after the initial setup. I would not recommend the Heart Rate machine. The C2150 requires a heart rate monitor belt to use the two heart rate programs. The belt is not included with a $999.00 machine! The $79 Apex belt available at Sears that states that it is the only belt compatible with Nordic Track machines does not work. After waiting 2 hours to talk to a customer service representative I was told that the only belt that works with the C2150 is the $99 belt that is available through ICON (the Service Company) and they don't have any in stock. I should have known better. In attempting to repair my last Nordic Track treadmill, it took three weeks to identify and receive a $100 circuit board that didn't fix the problem and is to be credited back less a 20% restocking fee!

I recommend this treadmill to anyone! I am not a marathon runner, just someone who wanted to get up and move a little bit without having to go to a gym, or around the block in order to do so. I have developed the discipline to hop on my treadmill as soon as I get up (after my coffee, of course) and workout for 30 minutes everyday. I can't begin to tell you how good I feel and how much energy I have now. The machine is heavy but who cares.......I mean, I am not going to be carrying it around any time soon. I am 100% satisfied with my purchase and I would recommend it anyone! ENJOY!

This is the worst piece of junk I have ever spent my hard earned money on. First, right after I got it, the console plastic broke through where the screws hold it on from the back. NordicTrack sent me a new one, but I had to put it on myself (no big deal to me). The belt needs constant adjustment. It slips when cold and then tightens up after about 10 minutes. The frame where the running platform completely cracked at what I would call a pretty critical spot. Any engineer that has a college degree could look at this and know that it was poorly engineered. Now, just this week, it decides to just shut down on me while I am running. Almost broke my leg the first time it happened as I was going 5.7mph at the time. After it cools down, it works again. It pretty consistently shuts off between 3 and 4 miles now. I bought it in february 2006, so the crappy warranty is already out, so I guess I am SOL.
