ANOTHER BIG DISAPPOINTMENT~~NEUTROGENA® MULTI-VITAMIN ACNE TREATMENT

by melissasrn melissasrn is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Wellness & Beauty, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Jul 07 '01
Pros: Easy to use "pump" applicator; may help with milder bouts of breakouts.
Cons: Expensive in price; not effective for moderate cases of acne in oily skin.
In my decades long quest to find that "magic" product to eliminate facial breakouts due to oily, acne-prone skin, I've tried just about every over-the-counter acne treatment there is. While benzoyl peroxide containing preparations, such as...

Pros: non-oily, reduced marks, small and easy to use bottle
Cons: increased break-outs, expensive
Sadly, I have some cases of acne, but thankfully, they are very minor. Before I got two prescribed creams and a prescribed pill from my dermatologist, I would walk through Eckerd and CVS looking for different products to help get rid of...

Pros: Lightweight, greaseless, makes your skin hap-hap-happy!
Cons: Might cause slight dryness for sensitive skin types
Does it ever end?

You would think at age 28, my worries about acne blemishes would be long overwith. And for several years, they were. But as many adult women learn, adulthood does not always equate clear skin, and as our...

Even at age 25 I still have the unfortunate pleasure of getting visits from blemishes, or even Acne, especially during certain times of the month. So with that, A woman can get pretty desperate, and I'm no exception. When I see a product that claims...

Excellent for keratosis pilaris!

by kmennie Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Sep 06 '00
Pros: A bit of a rare product; has a useful function for some
Cons: Not that great for its intended purpose
...though it passes itself off as an acne treatment for reasons that are not entirely clear: the 'lotion' is slick and greasy, not at all something for the blemish-prone face. The purported 'dual action' is just not there, to the point where I am more...

No radical results, but visible improvement

by anaraluca , Apr 08 '04
Pros: ease of usage, seemingly reduces acne scars, little goes a long way, moisturizer, price
Cons: not very effective, irritable to broken skin, tinted, long time to wait for noticeable results
While reading many of the reviews for this product, I noticed that there are plenty descriptions of the ingredients, usage etc. So I decided not to concentrate on the features and description of the product, but rather on my actual experience with ...

So, you think you won't get acne once you are in your 30's?

by AnnieSlif , Nov 01 '00
Pros: Does clear up acne. Lotions absorbs nicely. Can be used without other moisturizers.
Cons: Can cause excess dryness or peeling in sensitive skin.
Nature's little joke on us. Acne. You suffer through it during high school and figure once you get older that is one of the scourges of youth that you have happily left behind. But guess again.

I bought Neutrogena Multi-Vitamin...

Good acne treatment alternative for people with sensitive or dry skin.

by goodbunny , Mar 21 '02
Pros: light and non-greasy, good as a daily preventative acne treatment for people with sensitive skin
Cons: doesn't effectively eradicate existing blemishes, probably not strong enough for people with oily skin
I have sensitive, combination skin- a bit oily and prone to breakouts in some areas, rather dry in others. So finding an effective acne treatment regimen has always been a personal struggle. The typical acne treatment creams containing benzoyl peroxide...

2 1/2 ounces of acne prevention are worth a pound of cure

by jaderabbit , Aug 18 '00
Pros: Improves texture and appearance of acne-prone skin, reduces breakouts
Cons: Not a magic bullet--you may still need other products
Neutrogena Multi-Vitamin Acne Treatment has improved the texture and appearance of my skin. For me, it's not a standalone treatment, but for someone with less persistent acne, it may well be the only answer necessary.

This product appealed to...

Not for Severe Acne

by CultureShock , Feb 04 '01
Pros: It does help improve skin clarity, but only up to a point
Cons: Can be drying
I have been using Neutrogena's Multi-Vitamin Acne Treatment lotion on and off for about one year now. Why? Because it does help control my bad skin problems. It's not a miracle product, so if you have severe cystic acne, see a dermatologist for a...

by princessjill , Aug 24 '00
Pros: Fades red spots and even eliminates some scarring
Cons: Does not visibly prevent or eliminate present acne
