My SUV deserves $220 Michelin Cross Terrain Tires.

by jo.com Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 10, Mar 30 '07
Pros: Durable; hold the road.
Cons: The price!
After more than 68,000 miles that we put on in three years on our T oyota 4 Runner we were told we needed new tires. Considering how pleased we were with the Michelin Cross Terrain tires that were on the car and with ...

I purchased these tires this past winter to replace the OEM Goodyear Integrity tires (my review on these tires at h ttp://www.epinions.com/content _122139741828) on my '99 RX300 and they have been great. I purchased ...

Appear to be a solid Tire

by db54 , Dec 04 '06
Pros: Great looking tire, wide tread, tractions holds the road in rain.
Cons: not as quiet and abit on the pricey side for a x-over vehicle.
Replaced the Goodyear ALL TRAC Spec that came with the Pacifica (2006) with these tires and there was a maked improvement and road handling is noticable - They cling to the road in the wet weather and will find out soon in the snow. They are a hefty ...

THE tire for your SUV

by GR8AV8R , Feb 26 '03
Pros: Great traction, treadwear, handling
Cons: High price (still good value!), maybe a bit more road noise than some
UPDATE! I've sold the much-loved Lexus, and sadly, the tires went with it. Even though the Lexus was an absolute joy to own, (review at h ttp://www.epinions.com/content _102575672964 ), the tires showed no wear after a ...

A great tire when used as directed

by ksaudio , Sep 14 '07
Pros: Responsive handling, great highway tire!
Cons: Yes, they cost a bit ...
I have long been a fan of Michelin tires and have put LTX M&S on 2 vans and a pickup with no complaints. When it came time to replace the OEM Uniroyal Laredo on my wife's 2004 Blazer, I wanted a slightly less aggressive tread than than the LTX. After A ...

This Tire Has It All, A Hands-Down Winner for SUV's

by synthetic_one , Oct 11 '07
Pros: Every performance dimension is fantastic.
Cons: None, except they don't give them away.
Our 255R65-16 Cross-Terrains are installed on a 2000 Mercedes ML320. The ML320 SUV weighs in at 4,500lbs and has a gross loaded weight of 6,236lbs... a little heavier than the many mid-sized SUVs, but not as heavy as the huge SUVs. Our experiences ...

by cbarker , Oct 20 '02
Pros: Update: Seem to last forever, over 65k miles and running strong.
Cons: Update: None seen, really turned out to be a great value.
I have a 2000 NIssan Frontier Crew cab pickup that came with General Grabber AW tires from the dealer. These were ok, or at least I thought they were until I put on the Michelin Cross Terrains. The first thing that I noticed was the ride was much ...

Yep, they're good

by hondo123a , Jun 24 '02
Pros: Clearly a step up from the factory tires
Cons: Price
I just replaced all four tires on my Mercedes ML320 with the Cross Terrains, and have some comments to share.

First, I actually felt the General Grabbers that were installed as OEM equipment were "okay". I ran them on dirt roads/mud and also...

Aaaaaahhhhhhhh............

by bbobbyo , Feb 13 '02
Pros: Quiet, excellent handling, great ride
Cons: No raised white letters for Durango SLT
It sure is great to have a really good set of tires on my '01 Durango instead of the eggshell consistency of the factory stock Wranglers. The Cross Terrain hugs the pavement like glue on fast curves yet floats through the sandy beaches of Cape Cod like...

2nd set for me...

by advisor2003 , Oct 06 '02
Pros: Wet traction, resistance to hydroplaning, and quiet ride
Cons: None
I was bummed when I traded in my old Jeep Grand Cherokee for a new 2003 model and had to leave my Cross Terrains behind on the old car -- they were a different wheel size and wouldn't fit on the new one. So, my first stop after taking delivery of the...

X-Terrains vs. LTX M/S for Land Cruisers

by rick_tan , Jul 16 '05
Pros: Superb handling, effortless cornering, smooth, quiet ride
Cons: not as stable at highway speeds compared with LTXs, appearance should be more rugged
Standard on my 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser were the Michelins LTX M/S 275/70 R16s. When time came to replace the tires, I purchased the Cross Terrains through Americas Tire for $165 each. I wanted to try out the X-Terrains based on online reviews by ...

by sgmaxwell , Nov 14 '02
Pros: very quiet, smooth ride, excellent tire
Cons: none
I replaced my original tires (Goodrich Wranglers) for my 1996 Isuzu Rodeo 4x4 with the Michelin Cross Terrains sized 225/75/r16 after 63,000 miles. What an amazing difference!!!! The traction in snow and icy roads was far superior to the ones I used to...

Excellent SUV tire with one (1) outstanding exception

by jrb3085 , Mar 20 '03
Pros: Excellent ride and handling with high speed stability. Very good in wet conditions.
Cons: Price in direct relationship to tread life
I purchased the Cross Terrains to improve the handling characteristics of my 1997 Chevrolet Blazer. The tire purchase was done in conjuction with changing the shocks to Edelbrock Mono Tube Shocks and installing a larger diameter rear sway bar. All of...

Worth every penny!

by smiles4535 , Mar 24 '05
Pros: Unbelievable traction in all weather conditions (especially snow!) What a smooth & quiet ride.
Cons: A little pricey. Check them out at COSTCO though.
I bought my Pathfinder with the factory tires on it. They were Bridgestone Duelers. I was not impressed at the fact that they only lasted 40,000. I got a recommendation from a family member about Michelin tires, so I checked them out. After ...
