Pros: Multiple destinations, traffic monitoring, text to speech announcement of all streets, not just interstates etc. Cons: CD manual not printed. Traffic antenna adds clutter but I've hidden it, On/off button clumsy.
Having quite of few built-in navigation systems in my other vehicles, I was skeptical of a portable unit for my new car purchased without Navigation. Although the factory units weren't always perfect, they seemed to provide advanced functionality ...
Pros: NONE Cons: Unreliability and tech support, which is non-existent.
This product has proved totally unsatisfactory. I have been using GPS since 1990 (my first units were used in aircraft for navigation purposes) The map system used by Magellan is unreliable and/or completely out of date. My unit, used in the area of my ...
Pros: Easy to use and read. Mostly accurate. Cons: Tech support is horrible.
I purchased a refurbished RoadMate 6000T. I have used it in Canada, Washington and Colorado. When it is working it works great. The screen is easy to use and directions are clear and accurate. The unit is easy to use and for the most part self ...
Pros: Ease of setup, voice/trip features. Cons: Turning unit off; calling via address book.
This is my first GPS system so when I researched units, I wanted one that provided inputting of multiple destinations, i.e., trip planning. This feature works quite well. I also like the voice commands that tell you the street names, direction to turn, ...
dont waste your money on this product by coronaman59 ,Dec 15 '07
Pros: nice size screen Cons: price, tech support, and magallen in general
bought me a magellan 6000t. Paid 700 for it just last year and now its DOA. Trying to get any info from their tech support is a nightmare. Their support base is in India. Cant even understand them. They kept asking the same questions over and over. After all this, they gave me an address to send it to. They even got my name wrong. I will be sending it out just cause I spent so much money on it. Dont ever expect on getting it fixed none the less back. You have to even pay them before you do anything. For now I paid 24.00 before I even got a repair number.
I went out and bought me a tomtom 720. Love it!!! so please dont buy any magellan product. Dont say I didnt warn you
Magellan - the worst tech support ever by denvertechguy ,Nov 02 '07
Pros: so fed up, can't think of any Cons: support, warranty, customer service, device locks up every couple of weeks and loses saved addresses.
Don't even consider a Magellan GPS. They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced in any industry. I have a $600 device (6000T) that has been dead for two months now because of a bad power cord. I was told 8 weeks ago I would get a replacement in the mail in 7 days. Calling one to two times a week for the last 6 weeks has not helped either. And they won't let you speak to a supervisor -- call backs after asking for the third time for a call back and never getting one, I gave up.
