Pros: Soft in the store. Cons: I feel as if I am sleeping in a hole.
I spent over $2700 on this atrocity. I feel like a fool! We wanted to replace our old mattress which we bought 10 years prior. We move quite frequently and the moves had taken its tole on our mattress. So we found the Kingsdown. It was very soft in ...
Pros: None that I can think of. Cons: Lacking in overall quality - especially for the price!
My husband and I bought a Kingsdown BodySystem mattress 5 years ago. We went shopping for a mattress, found the Kingsdown, and thought it was going to be a great mattress as it seemed very comfortable at the time. The BodySystem has about 5-6 ...
Pros: Comfortable. Excellent quality. Cons: We paid more than we had planned (but it was worth it).
UPDATE AS OF APRIL 2008 ... The bed is still terrific! UPDATE AS OF JULY 2007 ... It's been over one year since we purchased our king-size Kingsdown mattress/boxspring, and I am as happy with our choice as ever. This was definitely worth the money we ...
Pros: None Cons: cost, discomfort, central "pit" in the mattress.
One of the biggest mistakes I've ever made. When we were looking for a new bed, I wanted to get something that would get rid of my lower back pain I had every morning. My wife and I went into Sleepys and they moved us straight to the Dormodiagnostic ...
Pros: Nothing. Cons: Back pain
Too squishy after only 1 night
Overpriced
This is regarding Kingsdown's Body System mattress. We got this mattress from Sleepy's after taking their b/s diagnostics test. (Total crap don't fall for it!!) It said we needed the least firm mattress and we tried a few and it seemed really nice. ...
Like the others who posted, it also took me about a few days to get used to this mattress. Ever since I can remember, I've slept on my stomach which often resulted in a very puffy face....especially during allergy season. However, once I got used to it, ...
Pros: None Cons: Get your money for a poor product and run!
I had Kingsdown recommended to be by a friend. So i went along to my local Bensons to have a look at them.My thought process was,all this technology must be accurate.I could not have been further from the truth. This is the first time I have ever bought ...
Pros: Comfort Cons: Hard to wake up in the morning.
I have been sleeping on my new Kingsdown mattress for almost 5 months now. I believe (but can't be positive) it is a 2/3 on the sleep diagnostic scale. I have slept in some of the best hotels, all with their "special" beds, and this mattress is a cut above by comparison. It was worth the $2800.00 paid. It does show slight indent's where you sleep, but I would like to believe that it is fit to my body; not a defect of any kind. This bed is SO comfortable. I have been sleeping in beds (and the occasional sleeping bag) for 43 plus years, and this is the most comfortable ever! At first it did feel a bit like a marshmellow, but I got used to it, and I am glad to be done with "lesser" mattresses.
Pros: Mattress is not terribly thick and is available with narrow box spring. Cons: COST. Secretive construction.
Two months of sleeping on this and there is no significant difference except maybe a slight increase in neck soreness. It appears to me that the body analysis used to measure the pressure points is a gimmick. Neither the dealer nor the manufacturer will divulge the construction of the mattress. All I got from the dealer was that the mattress is SOOOO much higher quality than the Stearns and Foster I was moving from. The two included foam pillows, which the dealer valued at $100 each, have proven useless. I would have preferred the dealer keep the pillows and reduce the mattress cost by $200.
It was a tough start but... by drbobbridges ,Nov 17 '06
Pros: Life time warranty. very comfortable. Cons: price ($4000) was astonishing, well worth it. took weeks to get used to it
let me tell you after I got used to this mattress it was unbelievable!! I have the #3 DormoDiagnostic system, and have had it for a year and a half now. I was wary of the 'diagnostic bed' they put you on thinking it was a scam. I did some research on the way the bed works with some of my colleagues, I will tell you I was no longer worried. I cant see my wife, colleagues or myself every buying another brand of bedding.
I just recently purchased my mattress from Mattress Giant in New Jersey. It is the BEST, MOST COMFORTABLE Bed EVER!!! Thank You MATTRESS GIANT!
The mattress was explained to us by a super salesperson at Mattress Giant with a nice 20 Year Warranty, plus the working box spring and 2 types of foam really are really getting us a nice sleep which to which we have been not getting for many years.
I highly recommend this mattress, KINGS COURT for anyone wanting a GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP!!! It is well worth the price!
The high point of our sale purchase was hearing about the long term longevity of KINGSDOWN being in business for over 100 Years and making their beds as "Handcrafted" beds.
Pros: You get one month of great sleep. Cons: It costs about $100 a night.
If you like a very soft bed, this type of bed is OK.
The problem we had was it got softer and softer over time. The warranty states that there must be a depression of so many inches. When you get out of the bed, it does go back to its original shape.
However, after 3 months, we were sinking too deep to get a good sleep.
Now, $3000 and four months later, I just put it out for the trash pick up.
We got a coil spring mattress that had some padding on top. The difference is the coil springs offer more support. You can only sink so far and then you stop.
Read some other reviews on the "memory" foam beds. You will see that many people have had the same experience.
Finally, We Found Our Mattress!! by troops4u ,Jul 25 '07
Pros: The best nights sleep you will ever experience! Cons: None, 0, Nada.
After several attempts in buying a good mattress set, we found what we were looking for! We went to a Mattress Giant store in South Florida. The salesperson was very nice and knowledgeable on all the mattresses. We told him we both had back problems so he showed us the Kingsdown line. We loved the feel of the Martinique model. It was more than we were going to spend, but after testing this bed in the showroom for 10 minutes, we realized it was going to be a good investment. It was a feel we had been looking for. We got it over 3 months ago and we both feel like teenagers again! And the best part is we have no more back pains!
Thank you Mattress Giant and Kingsdown!
Pros: Exceptional comfort. Highly recommended. Cons: none, with the exception that you'll need new deep pocket sheets to fit the bed.
We have had the Kingsdown mattress about six weeks. It cost $2500.00. We had a pillowtop for about 12 years. We never flipped it as required (it was heavy and we were lazy)although my wife and I still believed it was a good bed.
We traveled throughout the past summer and kept remarking how comfortable the hotel beds had become. This prompted us to start looking for a new bed. We picked this brand even though we had never heard of it because it was so comfortable at the showroom.
What a great decision. We both remark to one another when we get into it that it is by far the most luxurious and comfortable bed we have ever slept on. This includes the upscale beds we have encountered at fine hotels. The only consideration is that the bed is very tall, even with the low profile boxspring. Normal sheets do not fit and you'll need deep pocket sheets and comforter. So accept the fact that you'll spend at least $500.00 for some new bedding.
All is worth it. We actually look forward to climbing into it. We highly recommend this brand.
Dormo diagnostic sleep system by csg1912 ,Apr 24 '07
Pros: Best nights sleep ever Cons: I didnt find one years ago!
I never thought Id spend 2400.00 for a queen bed until I laid down on the Dormo #3. I have back problems and after wasting my money twice on cheap beds I finally broke down and looked at better mattresses. I tried the air bed and the foam beds but nothing compared to this one. It took a few weeks for my back to adjust but the salesperson explained that would happen ahead of time. After almost a year on my Dormo I will say I will never buy any other mattress but Kingsdown! As far as the price goes our sales person made a great point, If we only keep this bed ten years it breaks down to 240.00 a year thats 120.00 a year for my wife and 120.00 for me. When you look at it like that I relized why my 999.99 mattress never lasted we were only investing 50.00 a year into our sleep surface. Do your self a favor and make the investment it will benefit you in many ways.
