Pros: Bright display. Many presets for your favorite radio stations. Cheap. Easy to use. Cons: CD skips when you hit a bump. No brightness control. CD restarts when turned off.
My mom bought me a car. As elated as I was to actually have a vehicle that was mine, all mine - it had a cassette player. I finally wore her down to get me a CD player and she agreed to the "cheap" one that Best Buy had in stock. That's where I landed ...
Pros: Easy to use, has all the features basic to a CD receiver. Cons: There ARE better CD Receivers out there for a bit more money.
Okay, Christmas morning. I open my present and get... a gift certificate to Best Buy. After being upset that my parents put no thought or effort in my gift, I realized that I could buy ANYTHING I wanted (well, from Best Buy anyway). CD player for my...
Pros: Priced right, has good features and is easy to use and install.Produces good sound quality Cons: Skips ALOT! Display light does not support dimmer.
I did some research and thought I had picked a pretty good deck. But when I install this unit and set everything, clock channel selection and all that stuff. Was very happy with the way this unit sounded. But when I started driving,Well guess what? This...
Pros: AUX input on front of unit. Cons: CD Player didn't work after one year.
I bought this for my 13 yo car which never had a CD player. I bought it for the AUX feature since I have a Pocket PC that plays MP3s. The AUX connection is in the front of the unit which is actually very good. Overall the unit worked great until I hit a huge pot-hole and now the CD player doesn't work. It cost me $110 to buy this unit and it costs $60 to fix. Not worth it, even for the convenience of the AUX feed. Spend $40 or $50 more and get something that has a reputable name like Pioneer or Panasonic. Otherwise, if you're selling your old piece of junk, this will do fine to sell with it.
I installed a Jensen 3010x in my wife's car and it sound really good. I only have one problem. sometimes the Cd-r's i had recorded do not play. Anyone else have this same problem. Oh, and since i don't have a manual, need to know how to set the time ... Thanks,folks...email: bjm01843@yahoo.com
Great for use with a portable MP3 player by moogoogaipan ,Oct 14 '03
Pros: Cheap. Decent sound. Front-panel Line-in for Mp3 player. Cons: See my review.
I bought this so I could plug my RioVolt Blue into it. I think this thing sounds great for the money.
The CD player is good for a backup, but one thing that is annoying is that it restarts the song on the CD when you restart the vehicle. In contrast, other CD players I have owned go back to the last second played.
Also, setting the display options on this beast is in the league of solving a Rubik's Cube.
My display now defaults to the damn track number (or "AUX" when the MP3 player is plugged in - very useful - not!), instead of the time, and I am having a hell of a time finding the way to set it back to "clock priority".
I think it sounds great, was dirt cheap, and has a ton of radio presets (OTOH, setting them is a Class A pain in the butt - the manual tuning on this thing is a nightmare!)
Worth a $100, for sure. Got mine at Best Buy with a free pair of 6x9's. Wait for the deal...
