Pros: Pros: Reliable, good battery life, inexpensive, holds many pictures and easy to setup and use.
Cons: Cons: Low resolution, no flash some color saturation.
I got a chance to look and play with this one a few weeks ago. A Microsoft Professional friend of mine has this real luxury job of getting to play with a lot of great toys. I visit him as often as I can to see the new technology that is out and get...

The Intel Pocket PC Camera: Processor Domination Just Wasn’t Enough, Was It Intel?

by madtheory Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Apr 05 '01
Pros: Intuitive design, holds a great deal of pictures, inexpensive.
Cons: Questionable image quality, full-motion video runs considerably less than 30fps.
Apparently, Intel wasn’t satisfied with just being inside with their line of processors. Recently, Intel has decided to venture outside the confines of the CPU by releasing peripherals that are designed to “enhance” your computing experience,...

Pros: Low price, can hold more than enough pictures
Cons: Video snapshots aren't long enough, somewhat low picture resolution
When I finally decided to buy a digital camera, I was surprised at the selection I had. There were so many brands with so many models, it was a bit confusing. But a friend told me to look for Intel's Pocket PC Camera. After checking on some of the...

Intel Me 2 Cam

by lucie30 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Apr 10 '01
Pros: A wonderful way to let a child express creativity.
Cons: Can be somewhat complicated for younger kids.
I was born much too soon, today’s kids have the most amazing toys. Video games are amazing, but now the child (or the child in you) can virtually step right into the game and be a participant. The huge, futuristic headgear apparatus that you may have...

Cute and fun, but ...

by andyn , Oct 31 '00
Pros: Simple, USB, Battery Life, Memory, Low Price, Size
Cons: No Flash, Lens Quality, Low Resolution
I bought the Intel camera for an interesting purpose - my 3 1/2 year old son likes to run around with an old camera w/o any film and take 'pictures' - so I thought he'd get a kick taking real pictures with a simple digital camera he could handle. For...

Intel Pocket Cam is a good DualCam

by quintitech , Jul 13 '01
Pros: 8 megs of memory, good colors, long battery life.
Cons: Overly strong compression, toyish look.
Update Jan 2002: Windows 2000/XP versions of the Intel applications are now available as a 300-400 megabyte download from Intel.

I guess since Intel makes camera sensor chips and flash memory chips, it figures it can make a good camera. Well,...

Put it in your pocket and go!

by jenningspaige , Mar 20 '01
Pros: small, light, higher quality than I thought, cool software, and CHEAP!
Cons: hard to take lengthwise photos, eye sight doesn't line up with photo correctly. No flash.
I bought this camera to use for selling things on eBay. I had previously bought a Toshiba pdrm-70, which is a great digital camera, but not worth the $760 I paid for it. The Toshiba camera was broken when I got it, so I returned it. The next one they...

Pros: Simple to use, cheap, excellent quality
Cons: No flash -- but at this price? Can't complain!
First off, I did not go out to seek this product, since I already had a webcam that served me pretty well. But I came across this contest at www.outpost.com that gave the Pocket PC Camera out. I submitted my entry just for fun, and was I surprised to...

Pros: Easy Easy Easy to hook up and use.

We are a PC family, wired to the hilt with six computers on a home network. Even our five year old can install her own software, download the pics from her Barbie digital camera, and run programs like defrag when she is told to. So how did our...

Pros: cheap, small, light, makes a decent webcam
Cons: poor image quality, NO FLASH, no LCD,gimmicky, software not compatible with Windows XP

The camera is even toyish looking. The layout it fine and it's definitely easy to use, a true point and shoot digicam.
The image quality is bad at a meager...
