Pros: Replay value, variable controls, overall decent golf game Cons: Sound, few tournaments, no customization
Now I'm not the biggest golf fanatic but I'd seen my fair share of horrible golf games in the past. After playing Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2002 for Playstation 2, I can say that my interest has once again flourished to an all time high. In fact I'll be ...
Pros: More characters, more courses, more challenges, more everything. Cons: Not much, the sound gets a little stale.
Wow, what a difference a year makes. I am seriously surprised. I mean not only did EA work out the kinks they completely over-hauled it and then some, plus one. To express how good this is compared to the years before is hard to do, but I’m going to...
Golf And Pav: A Wonderous Combination
Even though I may sound like the outspoken guy that makes up the soul of a "soccer mom" and the out of the control guy that puts together the heart of a "street baller", I'll admit something right now....
Pros: Great Graphics, Rich Choice of Swing Styles, Rather Realistic Representation of the Game Cons: Only Three Courses and a Handful of Pros
The best part of playing golf has always been riding over those lush hills in a golf cart. Until you roll it and your Dad kicks your butt. But as I've matured (gotten lazy and boring), I've developed a better understanding of the draw that the game has...
Pros: It's the first realistic golf game for the PS2. Cons: The control and lack of players, courses, and options
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2001 is the first realistic golf game for the PS2. There is also another golf game for it too (Swing Away Golf) but it is another one of those Hot Shot look a like’s.
Pros: Easier controlls, great graphics, great replayability Cons: The commentary is as dry as ever, there are only eight courses.
Tiger Woods 2002 is not only much better than 2001 was in every way, but it's the best golf game I have ever played, and that includes the many golf computer games too.
Pros: A newer better swing then last years. Realistic, and engaging. Cons: It lacked a few features that appeared in last years game. More below.
Tiger's Back
Now even if you don't enjoy Tiger himself, that's no reason not to try out this excellent EASports game. It's the most realistic golf simulation out on the Playstation2. I can't wait to see next year's...
Pros: Analog Control is easy to use, Ball physics and greens are realistic. Cons: No 4 round tournament! Putting is often hit or miss.
Electronic Arts has revamped its PGA franchise, favoring analog control over the X press button. Personally, I don't know what they were waiting for! For those who've played previous EA titles, the control does take some getting used to, but give it a...
Pros: Beautiful graphics, exciting gameplay Cons: Too few to list
I recently rented this game at my local video store with low expectations due to previous golf video game rentals that featured cartoonish characters, dull scenery, and robotic gameplay. How wrong I was! Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2002 is unquestionably the...
Pros: 1) Analog controls
2) Good eye candy
3) Normal sized heads Cons: 1) Too much unneeded noise
2) No career mode
3) No 4 day tourneys
My favorite football game - SuperTecmo, favorite baseball game, Baseball Stars, you get the picture. Since Sega's PGA series, I have yet to find a console golf title worth mentioning, period. I played Swing Away Golf and just couldn't get past the Mickey...
Pros: Amazing graphics, great control, smooth framerates, fun! Cons: Scores are too low (unrealistic)
This game is jawdropping! I've played golf games on the PC for years, and this simply blows them away. The player renderings are amazing. The camera angles and zooms are like watching a video. The courses are gorgeous. The trees sway in the...
Pros: The best golf sim for the next-gen consoles Cons: Wish the career mode had more depth
If you are a true gamer and not hooked on just one type of genre Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2002 is packed with a good amount of fun under the hood of a great golf simulator for your PS2. Compared to last year's version this years game has made major...
Pros: This game is very addicting even for those of us not obsessed with golf. Cons: The gameplay is difficult at times and Tiger looks...well....scary.
This title by E.A. Sports is matched by no other golf game in the history of video games(which isn't saying much). The first thing that caught my attention was the accuracy of the various courses. The graphics jumps out with terrific colors and effects...
Cool game graphics and outstanding... by ajkj207_dt3000 ,May 09 '02
Cool game graphics and outstanding golf play, however don't get this game if you want to just beat a game. This is the most challenging golf game to date. The courses on this game are very difficult and are ready for anything that you swing at them. The golfers on the game are also difficult, this is what make this game a must for golf fans.
