by lllopez lllopez is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Home and Garden, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Apr 16 '05
Pros: Phenomenal Efficiency, Quality Manufacturing, Outstanding customer Service!
Cons: None, absolutely NONE!
Made in America has never meant more to me than since introduction to the Woodland Power Products Cyclone Rake. You may have seen the ads on television, if you watch home or gardening shows, and like me have probably wondered if this product ...

Excellent Leaf Collection System

by szerfas , Oct 11 '07
Pros: Quality, design, speed and overall performance.
Cons: Cost.
There are several excellent reviews on this product already here and I wanted to add my perspective and opinion. I have owned the Cyclone Rake for just about one year now and have survived a whole leaf season using it. Prior to the Cyclone Rake I had ...

Makes fall cleanup enjoyable/tolerable

by salvage1 , Sep 06 '05
Pros: Cost!!,warranty, customer service, durable, sturdy, quick maintenance, very ergonomic...
Cons: Quick clips break, accessories have to be purchased to be an effective yard machine.
I've had my Cyclone Rake for 3 years. I used to get frustrated because I have a little less than a 1 acre lot with many maple and oak tree's. Most of my lot slopes to the street and the wooded area is in the very rear, making transfer of leaves and ...

Works as Advertised ;Wife Even Accepts Purchase

by cwjenkins , Oct 10 '06
Pros: Huge timesaver, solid construction
Cons: Hard to Turn; Heavy
I was a little nervous about buying this due to the infomercial like advertising for it but it does do what it claims. It is much more solidly put together than it looks which is a good thing since I still haven't mastered turning with it. The back ...

My Cyclone Rake is now 8 years old!

by rrdude , Dec 17 '07
Pros: Quality of workmanship is near-perfect. Does what it says it will......
Cons: Not knowing about the product 'til I was 42 years old.
And the damn thing still works like a champ. I echo all of the others who posted that "...These 'infomercial products usually never work as advertised........." Well the folks at Woodland Power are the EXCEPTION. It's virtually perfect. We only have ...

GREAT product, but falls just a bit short...

by byrd01 , Nov 24 '08
Pros: Cuts 6-8 day job to one day and looks better then if raked by hand.
Cons: Cannot pick up acorns! Screen can burst open or get clogged if not careful.
I recently purchased a Cyclone Rake Commander Pro.  I was looking at the Commercial Pro, but felt that the larger capacity might be a bit much for my 42" Craftsman mower with 17hp Kohler engine.  It was a wise choice.  When the 285 gallon ...

Cyclone Rake XL Review

by bialecki , Jul 06 '08
Pros: Compact storage, powerful vacuum for efficacious lawn pick-up.
Cons: Noise of the separate engine. Must use headphones. Minor dust emissions through top vent.
Bought my Cyclone Rake from the factory and the pickup was smooth with no hassles. I needed my pickup to haul the eight boxes home for assembly. Once home I unpacked everything and started assembling the unit for my Kubota B7800 Compact Utility ...

The Cyclone Rake XL

by woodyh5513 , Nov 23 '08
Pros: Cleans up the leaves very quickley.
Cons: Sometimes it is hard to steer when the rake is loaded with leaves.
I have 4 acres of wooded land with about 2 acres cleared with grass.  Every leaf in the State of NJ finds it way to my yard!  It literally can be knee deep in sections if I do not keep up on the leaf removal.  I ...

Cyclone Rake Lessons Learned

by mikemcd_2008 , May 09 '08
Pros: What a workhorse! Does everything it claims to do efficiently and effortlessly.
Cons: What a horse! Takes up quite a bit of room, no choice of engines.
Long commentary, so lets get to the bottom line first: Yes, I highly, highly recommend a Cyclone Rake. My Commercial model(now called Commercial Pro) is now 4 years old, I mow 2.5 acres a week and pick-up leaves in a 25 acre adjoining park each Fall. ...

Quality manufacturing and effective tool.
by mickburke ,Oct 16 '06
Pros: Solid and thoughtful construction, POWERFUL, large capacity, design makes it easy to get everywhere!
Cons: Um... I don't like green? Otherwise, nothing!
This thing is phenomenal. When I was putting it together, I kept waiting to find a part that they skimped on and I never did. Everything was solidly constructed, and well thought through. The unit is attached to my 20 year old John Deere tractor and woks like a charm. The design of the 'trailer' hitch is great as well; Unlike a traditional trailer, the cyclone rake has two points of attachment and swivel wheels that allows it to track and pivot behind you directly. It takes a little getting used to, and you need to take it slow the first couple times, but there is nowhere in my yard I can't get with this, around all the trees and everywhere.

Cyclone Rake...What an animal
by fixanything ,May 01 '06
Pros: Very powerful suction, timesaver and worth the money.
Cons: Very,very loud.
Money was tight so I looked and grabbed one of EBAY and saved a couple of hundred dollars. Driving almost 2 hours and disassembling/reassembling this nuts and bolt unit I started to think I had made a huge mistake. It was most worth all the aggravation.

This thing is an animal.

Its almost too powerful sucking up leaves, twigs, bugs, even small crushed stone and hapless dog bones and army men. I have a little less than three acres and I usually bag between 180 and 200 bags of 40 pound contractor bags each spring and fall. I filled this puppy up 7 times and saved me weeks of weekend work.

Highly recommended. One of the only products that worked as well I think better than advertised.

Worth Its Weight in Gold
by joep4252 ,Nov 23 '08
Pros: Does everything as advertised.  Zero regrets.  Great customer support.
Cons: Tough to maneuver in tight areas, hoses heavy for this retired guy.
Had mine (Commercial model) since August 05 so this is the 4th year I have used it.  Each year it sucks up 300+ bushels of leaves and then I reverse the process and blow them into the woods behind our house.  Machine runs like a top, not a problem since day one.  Living in a heavily wooded rural area, I used to dread fall.  No more.

Fantastic Tool
by renstat ,Sep 23 '06
Pros: Large capacity!
Cons: Noisy, but earplugs solve it!
I annually would begin dreading leaf season in mid-August. We live on a heavily wooded lot, and each year I'd spend every fall weekend raking, mowing, and dragging leaves around. I finally relented and bought the Cyclone Rake. I've used it for 3 seasons - and it works as promised. I now actually look forward to the leaves. I not only do my own yard, but most of my neighbors beg for me to clean their's as well. I get lots of free beer this time of year!

Excellent!
by pc245 ,Nov 08 '05
Pros: It really does work
Cons: none
I waited a few years before I finally parted w/ the money. It isn't cheap. But it does work just like it says it does. What used to take me 7 hours, now takes just over 2. I have 2+ cleared acres surrounded by dense woods. I used to have to mulch the leaves then go back over with the bagger. It was torture! Putting it together wasn't too tough, but certainly not simple. Just follow the instructions and go slow. The fact that it folds up is nice for the winter. And spring for the dual wheels. They are worth it.

Bottom line. It works. It works REALLY well. No regrets.

Terrific Machine
by paulrap ,Nov 24 '07
Pros: QUALITY - QUALITY - QUALITY!!
Cons: None...Honestly!
I have had my Cyclone Rake for five years now and I appreciate it more than ever! I have not had any problems with the unit during this period and it continues to perform as advertised. I highly recommend this machine if you do not enjoy raking leaves or continually emptying regular lawn mower collection bags.
