Background The Canon PIXMA iP4200 replaces the iP4000 and iP3000 in Canons line of inkjet photo printers, but it does not include any revolutionary new features. What you will get with the iP4200 is a slightly less expensive printer with ...

Pros: Affordable, efficient, excellent quality results Cons: None of significance
I purchased this printer on clearance at Staples, bundled with a camera (the Powershot A410) for $150 total, so my absolute favorite part of this printer is the price. At 29ppm black and 20ppm color, this printer does its work quite speedily. I love ...
Pros: Well made, prints envelops without jamming. Ample paper trays. Fairly quiet and prints fast! Cons: High ink cartridge consumption. Nozzle failure problems reported.
This is a well made printer. It is easy to set up. The print quality is excellent in all modes. It operates smoothly and prints standard black ink copies and proofs quickly. The dye-based ink cartridges for the Canon Pixma's tend to be a bit messy, so ...

This Review is for the Canon Pixma iP4200 Printer was purchased in June 2006 in HONG KONG. It is now December 2006. I have only used original Canon ink cartridges. They cost about 12 USD each over here. The printer does a nice job ...

Pros: The best quality and the cheapest per photo price. Cons: None with this printer.
Canon has been making printers since the dot matrix days. I had always hated their "gravity feed" ink jets vs. the HP front feed models. They take up too much room. I never would have picked up this model had it not been for the Canon rep I spoke to in ...
Pros: Quality Prints, Never Jams, Very easy to use Cons: On the slow side.
This is a great all around printer. I print mostly documents and I have used it for almost a year without having to buy new ink. It has 5 different ink cartridges, three colors and two different blacks. This allows it to use a less expensive and ...

Pros: space saver, nice looking, speedy printing, low maintenance, reasonable ink costs and life. Cons: Various issues with ink cartridges not being recognized. Software reports ink out when it isn't!
Overall I'm very pleased with the quality and speed of this printer. One huge complaint I have and this has been confirmed by others as well, is that the printer software will warn that the printer cartridge is out of ink, I take it out snap it back in ...

This is not going to be the most detailed review on the Canon Pixma iP 4200 but it is clear and brief stating the most important pros and cons to help you with a purchase decision. I bought my Pixma iP 4200 something like 1 1/2 years ago and since ...
Pros: Low price, great quality prints, individual ink tanks. Cons: None so far.
I have had a total of two HP's over the last 10-12 years. The only reason I upgraded to my second printer (952c) was because of newer technology. I print a lot of photos, so after about 4 years of use on my latest printer, I decided to upgrade again. ...
Pros: great prints, sharp colors Cons: A little slow on start up
This printer prints superior picture quality prints. When coupled with good quality paper the prints are superior to what you can get from a developing lab. Printer is quiet and has a smooth paper feed. Love the ability of the printer to monitor ink cartridge levels. Although the cost of new cartridges is a little high it still is comparable to most other cartridge costs. Printer settings allow for settings which use less ink and quality is not compromised much on these settings.
