Axis & Allies: Risk for Grown-Ups

by martytdx Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Jun 12 '04
Pros: Great strategy game, tactical fun
Cons: long play time, lots of pieces to keep track of.
I discovered Axis & Allies in college - and found this game blew my old friend Risk out of the water. Whereas Risk is set during the Napoleonic Wars, and uses simple armies (no differentiation between cavalry or infantry) and very simple attacks, A & A ...

Axis and Allies
by edmund101 ,Apr 19 '08
Pros: Excellent strategic game with small amount of luck.
Cons: It can last for as much as 8 hours if played badly.
Axis and Allies must be the best board game around. Players take control of one of the powers of the second World War and try to gain victory for their side. There are 12 types of unit on land, sea and air all of which cost hard earned money. The better the unit, the more expensive. If you have enough money to take a risk, try developing weapons to turn the tide of the war.
