AudioBahn AW1000X Car Subwoofer

I bought this online, because it looked nice, and because I had already bought Audiobahn tweeters which practically can shatter my windows, if not my eardrums.
This speaker has a cast aluminum frame, not stamped...

I have never owned an Audiobahn Product before, so I was at first skeptical. After Finding out the Theil & Small Parameters and calculating a sealed box volume (the owner's manual specs are incorrect). This thing ROCKS!!! I have it in a custom built .85...

Hmmm. Where to begin. These things are great. I have them hooked up to a 900 watt Lanzar amp and they sound spectacular. I am not the type who wants to rattle everyone else's car but these sure rattle mine. I drive a 98 4Runner and in a sealed .6 cu. ft. (per sub) box the AW1000X (Q) (N) sounds great. Great hit and very good low end. I don't know what to say other than if you want a sub that will rock your socks and you still want to make your car payment (or whatever) Audiobahn is the way to go. Oh yeah, I did break them in for a little while, as in overnight. Start them slow and they will open up very well.

I have two of these wonderful subs in my Grand Cherokee. I have had many different systems over the years and have used many of the big name brands but these are probably one of my favorites so far. They are enclosed in a ported box and powered by a 800 watt amp. These subs provide great BOOM as needed and great sonic quality all the time. These subs not only sound good but are very attractive as well. I am currently working on lighting them so i can show them off a little more.

i have two of them in my ranger takes up the entire back seat and takes all the power i give it with a high current audiobahn amp run the deck at less than 1/4 volume bass at -2 and subwoofer control at 7 of 15 and it rattled my rearview mirror off. topped the decibal meter at two pro shopps at over 135 db
