Pros: Great sound, MP3 & WMA support, ease of use Cons: Bright display (no dimmer), small buttons, useless remote
I decided to replace the tape deck that came with my car with a CD player. My decision was between an in-dash player and a changer. I finally decided on getting an in-dash player since I like its convenience. I was looking for a low-end CD player...
Pros: MP3, hiding faceplate Cons: Small buttons, no channel scan
This is one great looking CD player. I specifically chose this model for my convertible because of it's MAGICFLAP hideaway face. However, my nephew broke the magic flap during installation but I was able to order another thru a parts distributer listed...
Pros: Steering Wheel mounted remote. Faceplate turns black after power turned off. Cons: Poor scan/seek function. No control over unit when loading/unloading CD's
I have purchased two of these car stereos for my '96 Dodge Caravan & 1990 Volvo. Easy to install and worked great from the moment I turned it on.The automatic faceplate helps deter thieves since the dash looks empty when unit is off. 24 wattsX4 channels...
I bought this deck from crutchfield in march and returned it a week later. The first thing I noticed about this deck was its inability to stay together when you shut the motor off. It like to eject piece of plastic when it closes.

Pros: Awesome sound Clarity, nice sleek look, great functions. Cons: Skips a lot
I bought the Aiwa mp3 player from overstock.com about 2 months ago. I was a little anxious at first because this was my first mp3 in-dash player. When I got it, I installed it right away. I have to tell you, it was the greatest thing I've ever...
Pros: MP3, WMA support, Great price Cons: Skips easily, slow to change tracks
I recently installed this player into my 2001 Jeep Wrangler, and will end up taking it out and returning it. It sounds ok, but skips far far more often than the Wrangler factory install. Granted my Jeep is not the smoothest ride, but the unit skips when...
Too technical for it's own good. by cyberiac ,Apr 06 '04
Pros: Excellent sound, Great MP3 decoding. Cons: Horrible manufacturing, bad engineering and no fail-safe method.
I bought this unit from a seller on ebay and have not had any luck with it whatsoever. Initially the sounds was great. I have to say the MP3 handling was a bit slow, but overall the sound was fantastic. I have read a lot of complaints that the unit skips a lot, but I never made it out of the driveway. While I was trying the system out, I noticed that the motorized mechanism on the front kept locking up and I would have to pull the power to the unit to make it stop trying to complete the operation. After this happened several times the unit stopped coming on. Now when I plug the unit in to the wiring harness, it opens up, then closes. I can't even get my CD out...
